I haven't figured out why I care about this at all, but it really bothers me that this is happening in football.

Yea I don't like it at all - but saying that out loud makes me feel very old and curmudgeonly.

Why is this just now a thing? New rule?

The NFL used to allow players to wear 00. Here is Ken Burrough of the Oilers wearing 00 in the late 70s or early 80s.

It’s weird, I don’t like players wearing 0, but I’m okay with them wearing 00.

I’m not sure why.

I'm honestly surprised freshman Kentucky receiver Mike Drennen isn't using the number. His Twitter handle is UhhMyNameDonut. Seems a natural marketing tie in.

I thought I was the only one that felt this way.

It looks really awkward on CFL unis but that’s probably just because it’s different

Did Pappoe lose his jersey?

I dont mind the 0.
But I roll my eyes a little when players change their numbers over the years.

Anyway, get off my lawn.

Nope. He asked for it as soon as they said players could wear 0.

I always thought the old timers wearing the double zero were cool. In the pro's, it was almost always some old hard arse that was one of toughest SOB's on the team.. with missing teeth.
