Weak Schedule, I saw it on the rant... Only playing 6 of the top 10 teams (11)...

Bama, UGA, LSU, Florida, Oregon, TAMU

We spent years and were never preseason ranked when we should have been. Now I have no idea how we could possibly be ranked and we are. Preseason rankings are a joke.

I used to laugh at these, buy you might as well pencil the same 5 teams into the playoff every year. Sooner or later the Pac12 will decide to start playing football again and move this up to same six teams year after year. NCAA will ensure this w/ their selective enforcement. Surprised A&M so high w/ their schedule.

Nebraska went 4-8 last year. Definitely warrants a preseason top 25 ranking!

I'm surprised the recent National Champion UCF Knights are only 18th. I thought they would be top 10 for sure.

I just cannot see A&M expected to finish in the top 10 this year.

We have #1, #2, #3, #6, #14, & #21 on the schedule.

I'm looking forward to some SEC teams knocking down some of these. Georgia over Notre Dame. Auburn over Oregon. LSU over Texas. Make it happen.

But by the end of the year most of those will drop and people will say you didn't play anybody.

I will grant you... "they return these many starters and they recruited such a great class" should play a role in where a team is ranked before the season starts. Nebraska did win 4 of their last 6 and were competitive in the two losses.

That having been said they were destroyed at Michigan and lost to Troy. I have a ton of respect for Troy, but if they come into your house, whip you, and you finish with only 4 wins on the season... you might just suck a weenie. When you start off 0-6 against a manageable schedule and one of those 4 wins down the home stretch is against Bethune-Cookman... maybe its time to pump the brakes on a preseason ranking.
