Who should they draft in your opinion? Adley without a doubt is imo the best player in the draft

CJ Abrams' loses his phone, teams hear that he won't be signing, goes undrafted until the 11th round to a team with no extra slot money available and has to go to Alabama next season.

Passing on a dude like Rutschman who plays a premium position would be malpractice - especially just to hope and pair together a couple of extra guys with the slot money.

In some others years, I get that. They are trying to build a system and that is the best way to maximize your spot and build depth, but only in a year where there isn't really a clear #1 guy. Not with this guy at the top.

Can he play another position as well? Don’t know much about him other than he is a stud switch hitting catcher

I would assume he can play other spots (1B specifically at some point), but he's a solid defensive catcher who is an switch hitting beast of a hitter. He's been rated better than Posey when Posey came out and a lot of folks think he's the best draft-able prospect since Harper.

Jonathan Mayo (and others) have already said the minute he signs he is their #1 ranked catcher in the minor leagues, ahead of Joey Bart of the Giants.

Adley, but it's Baltimore. They probably draft Lodolo.

For their sake I hope they don't. If this was still the Duquette/Angelos braintrust I'd agree, but I don't think Elias will do that.

How high do y’all see small going? Odd to see a guy with better stats than Casey Mize not projected high at all.

Jamal probably has more insight there - I've really only concentrated and read up on the top of the draft and then guys the Braves are connected to.

Small had better stats but has worse projections on his stuff. Similar reason why Thompson from Kentucky is a projected first rounder with much worse number. Stuff and how stuff is projected to develop to matter much more than raw stats. From what I've read and inferred, I see Small as an early day 2 guy.

Jackson Rutledge had signed to play for UK next season, drafted by the Nationals and will sign with them instead.
