Those two numbers exhibit why Pac 12 football fricking blows. The fans/alumni could not give any less of a shite about the sport. The LA Coliseum holds at least 80,000 and the Rose Bowl holds more than 90,000.

That's near capacity for Washington State, their stadium is so small. If we're being real, I think those numbers are highly inflated even for SEC teams; attendance is cost/time-prohibitive when you can stream it HD at home. Some of my friends who used to go to almost all the LSU home games said the Alleva admin made that nearly impossible with concessions prices and parking regulations; but I don't think that's unique to us

No wonder Leach left Wazzu. These were some of the best years of football up there and that’s all they draw. Crazy.

Being in BFE in the South, ie Starkville, is still a hell of a lot closer to a large part of the population v being in BFE in Pullman.

Given that was year two of the Chad Morris Error I'm stunned we had that many people in the seats. Not even poor John L. Smith having a nervous breakdown over the course of a season was that poor of a coach.

Maybe Aggie can make a fake trophy and claim another fake championship based on this. Might as well because it will never happen on the field.

Depressing since our stadium holds 64k and 2/3 of those people are gone by halftime. I know fans are able to come and go as they please since they paid for a ticket but it pisses me off as an avid fan because our on field performance is affected when our players look up and see that a majority of the people there don’t give a shite about the game.

Good thing we never lose a party since that’s all that matters to most of our fans!

8th Big 10
3rd Big 12
2nd ACC
2nd Pac 12

I don't think people realize how isolated and hard to get to Pullman is. Yes, Starkville is the butt of a lot of jokes and I understand why in a lot of ways, even as a Starkville resident, but when Leach's staff came from Wazzu they were raving about how BIG Starkville was and how much more opportunities they had with recruiting.

Again, this is Starkville we are talking about, the smallest and most isolated college town in the SEC. If Wazzu isn't the worst P5 job out there it's close to the bottom. People forget that because Leach had them winning but they were a big steaming pile of garbage in the decade between Mike Price leaving and when they hired Leach. The coach before Leach had a 9-40 overall record.

Both of those Colleges depend on Tix sales from Sidewalk Alums, when they win they are a big deal out there and the attendance reflects it but when they don't win big they are a mediocre draw

For whatever reasons they rely heavily on non Alum support, maybe they have to compete against the "free" Beach for the Fans entertainment dollar?

But on the west coast there is so much more to do....no, wait a tick, that ain't right, unless you enjoy shitty weather...either hot as hell or cold as hell and wind blowing about 40MPH non stop, and have a fleet of lawyers along with you so you can stop and make certain you aren't breaking the law when you take a deep breath.

Everyone knows why Everything is bigger in Texas...because Texans suffer from a well deserved inferiority complex when it comes to their beloved state...they have to build it up because god knows there is no other reason to live there other than myths and bluster.. but the west coast is worse. At least in Texas you pretty much know what is and isn't against the law...not so from Idaho to Arizona and west to the coast...it is impossible to keep out of the way of the man unless you stay in your home and never venture out...and even then you are probably breaking the law...damndest place I ever saw...beautiful area in places but the weather sucks eerywhere and you can't exist and remain in compliance with the regulations...

It seems that almost all the lower attendance numbers are clustered around the Teams that put the least talent on the Field, yet for the last 3 Days I've had many on this Msg Board claim they would support their Team even if it had less Talent playing vs other similarly lower Talent level Teams

For some reason my detractors think that the TV Execs pay big money to Televise a Team because the name of the College and the genius HC on the sideline, in their words Player Talent has nothing to do with those Games being Televised and the huge TV Contract Dollars being paid out

It seems that the more intensity that my detractors disagree with me, the quicker that a 3rd party Article comes out that supports my opinions over theirs

You must be a shitty salesman.

You can sell yourself on your crazy ideas.

But you have no ability to move the needle at all on the board.

Do you need to do attendance figures for 50 years to see how tennessee, uga, and alabama do with poor coaches and relatively poor talent?

Because they are still out drawing West coast teams.
