COLUMBIA, S.C. - A total of 1,002 student-athletes were named to the 2018-19 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll on Tuesday by SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. South Carolina dominated the field with 127 total student-athletes on the list, the lone school to crack the century mark. This breaks 2017-18's record of 101 Gamecocks on the list, and marks the 12th time in the last 15 years that South Carolina paced the SEC in first-year honorees.

Awesome news USC! As a fan of schools who didn’t sell their souls for athletics, I love stuff like this.
