In it’s first year at Mercedes Benz Stadium, the stake for the 2017 SEC championship have never been bigger. The 123rd edition of the South’s oldest rivalry between Auburn and the University of Georgia will likely be the most expensive ever, and certainly the most expensive in TicketIQ’s eight-year history. It’s also the most expensive conference title game this weekend....by a lot.

Five-days out from the game, 53% of the fans visiting TicketIQ are from Georgia, with only 18% from the state of Alabama.
Auburn has a huge fan base in the ATL so that imbalance isn't as big as it looks at face value. But with UGA having a several week head start on buying tickets I imagine it will lean heavily in favor of Georgia in the stadium.

Good, good... my four will sell well and I won't feel bad about fricking either fanbase...

Yeah I thought about going. Told my wife our max should be $200/ticket so we could get decent seats.
Wasn't finding anything for cheaper than $500/ticket. Plus hotel and food? Fuuuck that.
(I want more money )

Not surprising given the two teams playing and their alumni presence in Atlanta

well that is a little misleading. Georgia, Atlanta specifically, is, by far, Auburn's largest alumni base outside the state of Alabama. So just because the tickets are being sold to GA residents doesn't mean they are Georgia fans.

A local team that doesnt live in trailer parks like bama, this makes sense.

Thank God a UGA degree is actually worth a damn. More disposable income, more DAWGS in the Benz!

When a selection committee sees numbers like this you have to wonder if that won't influence them to lean towards a 2nd SEC selection.

Any bama fans feeling generous? It is “Giving Tuesday” apparently.
