AU had a 20 point lead against UGA with 12 to go in the game. Was it luck UGA came back and took the lead ?
AU had Bama on it heels and Saban knew his team was fried if they had to got to OT before "kick six". Was that luck ?

I don't consider the Kick 6 lucky. I don't think it was lucky when OBJ did it either. Bama went for the win and Auburn had the right personnel on the field in case the kick was short.

Ok buddy. Not every field goal is kicked directly at a defender waiting in the end zone.
Uhhhh, They’d literally all be kicked directly at a defender, every time, if teams made the decision to put one back there.

Ha. Bama couldn't even win their division one year and still made the playoffs.

They've won the West every year during the CFP era though.

You want a chance to recalculate?

2015 Michigan State got lucky in the Michigan game, but they beat undefeated Ohio State in Columbus with two backup QBs because they abused the Buckeyes on the LOS. That was a legitimately awesome team.

The only question is, is that Notre Dame team or the one from 2013 luckier to get as far as they got?
2012 ND wins this category. Stanford scored on that 4th down play that was ruled inches short and they were given a mulligan on a missed FG against Pitt because Pitt had two guys on the field with the same jersey number. No one really believed that team was good and it showed in the title game.

Well that’s blatantly false
Take it up with the SEC.

Let’s face it, LSU was lucky in 2003 they didn’t face USC, and lucky in 2007 that the BCS still let them in

I seem to remember UGA beating Auburn, not Alabama, for the 2017 SECC.

Any FG beyond 50 should have a defender back there waiting especially in college football.

Disagree. Saban was doing what any other coach would do with one second left in a tie ball game.
Gus made a great coaching decision putting his punt returner in the end zone and taking the chance that he might get a return out of it.
Disagree. Saban put his "elephant" package in. Nothing but big guys, for maximum protection. When Gus saw that, he dropped he THEN dropped Davis back for the return.
It was coaching chess, and Gus got the checkmate!

UGA play was lucky but the WR still made the play by catching the ball.
He made by the play by being way out of position.

Please tell me - how exactly was Kick Six lucky? That was simply one of the few games in Saban’s career where he was out coached. Doesn’t happen muchwith Gus these days but it happened that game.
