How about an in-depth discussion of this match, help pass the time some.

Hope everyone is safe and doing well.

I like the violent Bama defense that would be illegal in today's game in this one. Let's have a fun discussion here.

I feel like since about that few years 2011-15, even Saban has bypassed the giant thumper linebackers in favor of smaller quicker guys that can tackle (minus Moses)... but anyway, LSU 2019 by 21 over 2011 Bama. Fairly Easy.

With how many busts there were on that defense, I could actually see this

Beat the shite out of him when it really mattered, didn't they? That was the beginning of 8 miserable years for the bayou bungles.

That doesn't erase the fact that he beat you twice.

Not really.

In 2 games an AJ McCarron led Bama only scored 1 TD against LSU.

The two styles are vastly different. Even the defenses. LSU ran a 3-4 in 2019. That bama team was not ready for a shoot out with elite athletes. However, would targeting be a rule? It wasn't in 2011.

Could 2011 keep LSU under wraps? I don't see it. Burrow would take the top off of that secondary because they would be too spread out. Saban would likely try rushing 3 and allowing his LB's to make a play, but no matter how good they were they have to worry about

3 Elite WR's
1 TE that didn't drop a pass and was a solid blocker
1 RB that is solid running, catching, but beyond elite on pass protection
#1 OL
#1 QB

That is too much for a non-finess defense to worry about. Targeting rule removed might change things if LSU sends WR's over the middle and Bama LB's take their heads off.

Yeah really. They didn't cross the 50 yard line until the 2nd half.

Correct.

According to simulations, 2019 LSU would curb stomp 2011 A1abana.

400+ yards from Joe in every sim

I think the most interesting match up would be if The 2011 team had a 3rd shot at Alabama. Now that may have been a game.
No way Either team would have stopped the LSU 2019 offense anyone who knows football could see this.

Shhh!

William, the little gumpies simply cannot reconcile the fact that of all of the incredibly good teams Bama has fielded in the history of the sport...2019 LSU was better than all of them. No question!

WOW!
