2011 Auburn - 9 wins
2020 LSU - 5 wins

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't A&m's last championship in 1939?!?

Against far weaker defenses.

Actually, 2011 Auburn had 8 wins.
Both teams finished with 5 losses.

Cam had no other NFL players on that offense. It was all him. LSU wins by 10+.
2011 vs 2020 is interesting, but it basically comes down to Auburn got to play OOC games to get to 9 wins.

Defense was stronger then and there was less passing, you know that.

Yet 2020 LSU gave up less points than 2010 Auburn.

That actually works in Cam's favor.

Both teams went .500 in conference and both teams picked up a top 10 SEC win on the road. Auburn picked up an additional ranked SEC win with two less conference games.
2011 Auburn's SEC wins:
vs #16 Mississippi State
at #10 South Carolina
vs NR Florida
vs NR Ole Miss
2020 LSU's SEC wins:
at NR Vandy
vs NR South Carolina
at NR Arkansas
at #6 Florida
vs NR Ole Miss

Cam>Burrow but LSU wins big. Other than Cam, 2010 Auburn’s best NFL player on offense was a lineman who lasted like 4 years in the league

2010 Auburn would win. 2019 LSU is a better team, but that 2010 Auburn team is the luckiest team I have ever seen.
Some crazy play would take place that would give Auburn the win.

2013 Auburn was much luckier than 2010 Auburn.

Of AU's four SEC victories in 2011, only one (vs Ole Nutt) was against a team with fewer than 7 wins.
Of LSU's five SEC victories, only one (vs Shoe Toss U) was against a team with fewer than 5 losses, and only one other (vs Ole Kif) was against a team with fewer than 7 losses.
Where LSU outshines AU in this comparison is the margin of defeat in their losses: LSU lost their five games (to AU, Bama, MSU, Mizzou and TAMU) by an average deficit of 20.4 points, while AU's five defeats (Clemson, Arky, Bama, UGa & LSU) averaged 27.8 (!) points.
Of course the five games AU lost in 2011 were all to good teams, with none finishing with fewer than 10 wins. Meanwhile 2020 LSU was beaten by three pretty crappy teams (AU included).

This is somewhat skewed by the fact that everyone replaced 3 OOC cupcakes with 2 more SEC games in 2020.

2011 Auburn's losses:
@ NR Clemson (won their division, played in the Orange Bowl, finished 10-4 ranked #22)
@ #10 Arkansas (won the Cotton Bowl, finished 11-2 ranked #5)
@ #1 LSU (won the SEC, lost in the BCS CG, finished 13-1 ranked #2)
@ #15 Georgia (won their division, played in the Outback Bowl, finished 10-4 ranked #19/#20)
vs #2 Alabama (BCS Champions, finished 12-1 ranked #1)
2020 LSU's losses:
vs NR Mississippi State (won Armed Forces Bowl, finished 4-7 and unranked)
@ NR Mizzou (cancelled bowl game, finished 5-5 and unranked)
@ NR Auburn (fired head coach, lost bowl game, finished 6-5 and unranked)
@ #5 Texas A&M (won Orange bowl, finished 9-1 ranked #4)
vs #1 Alabama (won CFP, finished 13-0 ranked #1)
2011 Auburn lost to some good teams and also beat a few good teams. 2011 Auburn didn't lose to any dogshit dumpster fires.
2020 LSU lost to two good teams and also beat a good team. 2011 LSU also lost to 3 shitty teams including one that wouldn't have even been selected for a bowl if it weren't for the minimum number of wins being waived for bowl eligibility.

As I said above, rankings and records are skewed quite a bit due to 3 OOC cupcakes being replaced with 2 extra SEC games.

I actually think Fairley could get some pressure on Burrow because the LSU oline was a little overrated in 2019 IMO. The pressure wouldn’t matter though because Jefferson Chase and Marshall would be open so quick against whatever DBs auburn had. LSU by 3 scores.

What were LSU's best two wins from 2020? Florida is the obvious #1.
Is LSU's 2nd best win in 2020 over a first year coach or over a coach that was fired at the end of the season?
