Oklahoma was on the road at Cincinnati so a friend and I figured we would take our chances at the big game in Fayetteville. I heard at the time it was the first #1 to ever play at Fayetteville. Not sure if true. But hey, something cool to be a part of. We got a couple tickets from some Alabama fans who sold to us under his original asking price since I had Oklahoma and Alabama gear on.

The pics aren’t great but i figured I’d share a few. The build-up to the game was insane. The whole campus was electric, even after the game despite Arkansas losing. I figured Arkansas was on the verge of an upset. Lead 20-7 at one point before losing 24-20.

Overall a great time. Went again in 2011 when Tennessee came to town. Arkansas cruised with ease.

I was there, South End Zone.

btw #1 Texas lost in Fayetteville in 1981 in blowout fashion. I think there have been other times, too.

I was there. Loudest place I've ever been was the first TD

Night before was wild, people cruised Stadium Drive all night honking passing the tents of students camped out, high-fiving, yelling "frick Bama", etc. It was an all night party

That was the first game of the season that you could tell that 2010 Bama team just seemed to be missing something.

I was amazed they came back. That first scripted drive by Petrino was perfection. Arky was loaded offensively.

One of the hardest losses Ive ever faced as an Arkansas fan. Its behind Florida 2006, Ohio State 2010, and Oregon State 2018 (baseball). But its still a Top5 loss for me because we had it.

That team had had Ryan Mallet, Tyler Wilson, Knile Davis, Dennis Johnson, Ronnie Wingo, Broderick Green, Greg Childs, Joe Adams, Jaruis Wright, D.J Williams, Cobi Hamilton, Travis Swanson and Chris Gragg on offense.

Arkansas couldn't run the ball in the second half as I believe Johnson was out for the year and Davis was playing hurt. When Davis was healthy that offense could only be stopped by injury. I still believe that team was better than the one in 2011.

2010 Bama was one of the most talented teams Saban has had. Twelve NFL first round draft choices. Four in 2011, four in 2012, three in 2013, and one in 2014.

That Arkansas team was loaded. 10-2 season and played in the Sugar Bowl. We had two late picks which saved our asses. That game was very reminiscent of this year’s Florida game. Say what you want about Petrino, that guy could coach and recruit.

QB’s: Mallet, Tyler Wilson
RB ‘s: Davis, Johnson, Green, Wingo
WR’s: Childs, Adams, Wright, Hamilton

That Sugar Bowl was painful to watch cause the receivers kept dropping the balls.
