Relive the sights and sounds of Tennessee's last victory over Alabama. The vast majority of Tennessee fans of high school age likely have no memory of this game at all. And any freshman in high school born prior to October 2006 was not even alive when this game took place.

John Parker Wilson and D.J. Hall lit up the Tennessee secondary all throughout the afternoon but the Tide offense, in typical Mike Shula fashion, could not cross the goal line to save its life. Nevertheless, Alabama took a 13-6 lead into the final quarter of play. The seventh-ranked Volunteers were able to avoid the upset, however, scoring 10 points in the final period to win the game by a score of 16-13.

Hard to believe in a couple years there are going to be Tennessee freshmen who have never lived in a world where UT beat Bama.

This was a death knell for Shula. He punted the ball with not enough time left to actually get the ball back

Is that the year ULM beat you in your own stadium? Good times.

ETA: ah, I’m one year off.

Obviously, you haven't been to Neyland Stadium lately...well over 50% of those in attendance are Boomers who are too feeble to throw mustard and golf balls...

I remember an Alabama vs Tennessee gave about a decade ago where Tennessee was inside the 10 going in for a score just before halftime and the refs penalized Tennessee 4 straight times to keep them out of the end zone. Dunno why Alabama has to cheat so much, they don’t need to.

Damn what a classic. UTjr QB Eric Ainge was on booze, pills and had some type of uncontrollable crying disorder.

UA RB Jimmy Johns was busted selling blow in the UA Football complex parking lot.
