Happy 4th. Sipping Burbon.
Trying to envision 2 Super Conferences offering the best conference football match-ups leading to a college football playoff.

5. Wisconsin
6. Iowa
7. Minnesota
8. Northwestern

48 teams. Split revenue. One governing body... Now the fight for scheduling format and who wins a shot at the CFB playoffs.

This is why it’s going to stop at 20. It gets silly beyond that.

Silly beyond that? It has completely jumped the shark now

So GT is gonna get the exact same TV split as Ohio State or Name?
Since both currently make between $55 to $60 million in revenue and they obviously won't take a pay cut, where is the money coming from to pay GT $55 million per year?

I would think from the CFB playoff pie. 8-12 playoff could be worth ???

This. I'm about done with it all.

That is a pretty healthy conference in basketball for sure plus not bad at baseball, plus will be very decent in football.
All in all that is zbout as good as the big12 could do in my opinion except adding Missouri would be welcome.

Sixteen teams is a perfect cap, but I don't see Baylor anywhere in your plan which automatically makes it good.

Why do you need expansion for a 12 team
playoff?

Just get to the super conference BS already and have regional divisions within them .
Everyone plays the same traditional schools with one or two out of region schools mixed in.
Have some kinda playoff eventually leading to super big ten conference champ vs super sec conference champ.
College super bowl

I do think it will be 2 24 team confs with 4 divisions of 6
Big10:
East-
Rutgers
Penn St
Michigan
Michigan St
Illinois
Notre Dame
North-
Ohio State
Indiana
Purdue
Nebraska
Northwestern
Iowa
West-
Wisconsin
Minnesota
UCLA
USC
Oregon
Washington
South-
Georgia Tech
Duke
UNC
Virginia
Miami
Maryland
SEC:
East-
UF
FSU
Clemson
South Carolina
UGA
NC State
North-
Tennessee
Kentucky
Vanderbilt
Missouri
Virginia Tech
West Virginia
West-
Arkansas
Texas
Kansas St
Kansas
Oklahoma
Oklahoma St
South-
Alabama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Miss St
LSU
Texas AM
5 Div games, 1 perm rivalry game, 3 ood games, 2 Other OOC games, 1 your choice game
Divisional playoffs 1week in December
Semi finals- Conf championships - Jan 1st
CFP Championship- Jan 10th
No playoff committee needed, no polls, basically NFL.
I would also pair up the rest of college football with G5 divisions, with their own title game..
Then have relegation for bottom 4 Conf teams switched out for g5 final 4.
I feel for the history and tradition due some of these programs, but you can’t keep taking in 100M a year and not putting out a reliable product. I would prefer you put out a great product, but using excuses for issues you gave yourself is not anyone else’s problem.

This is just so dumb - not harping on you, but the whole idea of a conference is basically null and void at this point. Why even have them?

I was just getting a geographical as possible, also putting “rivalries “ in divisions with only having to allocated 1 “possible” rivalry out of division…. Do think I’m pretty close on the 24 teams
