Maineri already off to a hot start. His seat should be supremely hot this year but some LSU fans want to keep giving him more time.

Why because they lost one game? Baseball more than any sport can be won or lost any given day. LSU baseball is still the standard

D1Baseball, which normally updates Monday mornings, is waiting until Tuesday for the conclusion of the Globe Life Field tournament.

They will resume updating on Monday mornings starting next week for the rest of the season

Did they actually say that? Most series this weekend were pushed to Sat/Sun/Mon.

I would assume that’s the case for a few of these but we’ll wait and see.

Added Collegiate Baseball.

Also, one of the 7 players of the week nationally.

quote:

DH Wes Clarke, South Carolina: Clarke belted 3 home runs with 2 doubles and 9 RBI in three games against Dayton as he went 7-for-10 at the plate, scored 7 runs and had a .800 on-base percentage as he also walked 5 times.

I’m not much of a baseball follower, what poll(s) is the most popular?

Popular? I would guess the coaches poll. Baseball America has been around forever so they get run too. I trust the guys at D1 the best. Collegiate baseball is usually terrible. I don't put a ton of stock in PG or NCBWA (they release too damn late in the day too).

It's crazy to be in a conference where you could be one of the top 30 teams in the nation and not even be in the top 10 in your conference.

They went to Omaha in 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, & 18. Won it in 17 and was runner up in 11. I'd say they're usually worthy of a high ranking.

Georgia is #7 in Collegiate Baseball, up from #12 after going 3-1.

They passed State who Collegiate Baseball dropped from #9 to #12 after going 1-1 at the time of the poll (both games against Top 15 teams).

Oh well, just keep winning and the polls and the RPI will take care of themselves.
