The roster of players/coaches included

- OC Bruce Arians (Cardinals/Bucs HC)
- TE coach Dabo Swinney (Clemson HC)
- GA Jeremy Pruitt (Tennessee HC)
- QB Freddie Kitchens (Browns HC)

Deshea Townsend is the co-DB coach for the Giants as well.

Ed Scissum’s fumble got Bruce Arians fired.

I had just told my wife that Bama would run a sweep on third down to use some clock and make the barn use their last timeout. The pass was high to Ed and he had to leap just to catch and they cut him and then the fumble. The call wasn't the problem but the execution suked. Two bad teams passing in the night.

We've been loling about that roster of coaches being with that bumbling team for years. Freddie just kind of tops the list.

That 1997 Iron Bowl and the 2003 TSIO wete the two hardest losses I’ve ever endured to this day. Those two hurt.

As did Louisiana Tech and 4-7 Arkansas.

It was a bad football team. The worst in half a century.

We've had worse. The lost year (2012).

In 1997, Alabama was preseason #15. Moved up to #11 in week week 4, and did not drop out of the rankings until week 7.

We were coming off of a solid 1996 season, folks thought the transition to DuBose would be ok, etc.

We were ok early, lost in OT to UK and then just collapsed in November.

Those Olan Mills pictures are all over Mom's home. I think the 1st time Mom took me was in 1958 and the last time was around 63.

Still a better call than a run fake with the opposing D in FG safe. Had a much better chance of working.

My neck is still sore from me craning my neck awkwardly.

Unfortunately I believe you are referring to the 2000 squad that was pre season #3. Went to play UCLA as the opener. Forced UCLA to punt on their opening drive...Freddie Millions returned that punt for a TD...and that was the sole highlight for the year...Bama went 3-8.
