Well into the 2nd Century. Pretty cool if you think about it. Back when it was a friendlier rivalry, such things were fun to talk about. I've had some good times at the Auburn UGA game. Things got salty as frick somewhere along the way. Much saltier than the Iron Bowl these days.

2004 is when it really started to turn. 2010 is when gas was poured on the fire.

I was not a UGA fan during the friendlier version of this rivalry. (Graduated in 2004) I wish I could of seen it. to a good game and hoping everyone stays healthy. Oh, and frick Auburn.

Auburn fans thought it was friendlier when they were winning most of the games.

This was my favorite game of the year when I was in HS and college. I had so many friends at Auburn that it was really great to have a weekend where were all hanging out again and having a good time. Seems like it all turned sour around 10 years ago or so. It's a shame, because it's usually always a good game.

One of best rivalries in the country. Auburn, UGA and Bama all have more than one INTENSE games to play every year against heated rivals.

Ah, yes....The 2007 black jersey CMR 'fake juice' game. Why you mad after 12 years, bro? Was it the jerseys or just the beat-down that followed? I ain't mad over the 2010 game, BTW. As previously posted, the rivalry was much friendlier when AU was winning a lot more than they have since 2006.

Because of Soulja Boy?

Are you freakin kidding me?Our team was doing that idiotic dance (yes I didn't like it) THROUGHOUT the season at home games and somehow Auburn got their panties
in wad about it and somehow thought it was about them.

Same. Had several friends from HS that didn't get into UGA and ended up at Auburn, so they were already operating from an inferiority complex right off the bat. Went from being lifelong Georgia fans to "diehard" AU fans in a flash. Still, things never got too heated after the games.

Then the 2010 game happened and all the good feels disappeared.

^The fact that Auburn fans still gloat and celebrate that dirty, scum-sucking piece of shite Nick Fairley tells you everything you need to know.

Fairley was an Aubie thug who should have been thrown out of the game. And Aubie thug fans supported his spearing a defenseless Murray in the back we’ll after the play, as well as rubbing his face mask into Murray’s face when he was on top of him. Auburn already had the reputation as the dirtiest football program in the nation with cheating, but they upped the ante with Fairley, and by recruiting players who were kicked out of other schools. Now Auburn is known for whining about having to play a tough schedule. That’s why UGA fans and the rest of the nation detests Auburn.

Maybe Georgia doing that stupid black out shite might have started a little bit of it. Have never understood the hate between these two.

We've played each other longer than anyone else in the South, we've each ruined each other's seasons multiple times, most of the alums and fan bases in general live right next to each other. It's pretty easy to understand.
