Too much talent over the years for a wasted product on the field.

I like having him as a coach, but either bring back the razzle and dazzle, or let us start searching.

Gus is a smart coach. I would hate to lose him, but College Football is a business.

Results matter.

Let's do this Tigers!

I think that he has a fire under his arse.

At this point, we don't necessarily "need" an SEC Championship or a National Championship.

What we need is to actually have a coach that can use our talent, play fast, and get it done.

No mercy from the first play to the last. Gus has proven to be counterproductive in this regard since his tenure.

So why is this year going to be different?

Gus calling the plays is what I am interested in watching. He is a fantastic play caller. The OL needs to play well, which they did towards the end of the year. One of the QB's needs to step up too. It's a brutal schedule but I think Auburn has a chance to make some noise.

Different from what? Auburn either wins the ring or seeps into mediocrity.

I think that he does it.

The bets are on and Auburn always does well under pressure.

We have a difficult schedule, but certainly have the athletes.

Either we will need a new coach at the end of the season, or not.

It will be fun to see.

Gus didnt stop calling plays because he was successful at it while also being head coach. We lost 16 games the last 3 years he was in charge of the offense (5 in 2014, 6 in 2015, and 5 in 2016.) There is a reason he had to force out Lashlee and it wasnt because we were ultra successful.

You are a fool if you think Gus was calling every play. Gus did call every play against an outmatched Purdue team. Did you notice a difference?

?? Purdue ??

Gus has always beat up lesser talented teams. Thats a fact. Its also a fact he was calling plays up until 2016. But hey whatever floats your boat. Lets see how we fare this season and next. We are an injury at OT away from a disaster.

Actually, AU usually cracks under pressure. They have trouble handling any expectations. They do well if they get on a roll: They play well and odd things frequently happen in their favor.

Gus does well in the first year with a transfer QB. Without that, he's 8-5. So, history suggests he's going 8-5.

I wouldn't necessarily bet on ten + wins...but magical things do happen at Jordan Hare Stadium.
