Though I know the McElroy one was a joke, I couldn't tell about the MI>TR one, so really quick I just wanna clarify that TR is, and was, better.

How we don't have 2007 Georgia on here is absurd. Had they played LSU in the SEC title game and not Tennessee, THEY would have won the title.

None of those other teams had to play 2011 LSU. Besides, we did beat every team we played.

You still lost. And LSU got shut out in their loss. 2011 is an anamoly, most would not consider your 2011 team GOAT except for well..some bama fans like yourself.

I'd put 08 Florida at the top.

06 or 07 LSU should get some consideration somewhere near the bottom. They had a far more functional offense, and much better players on the O than the 11 or 03 squads.

I then would have to consider 2006 AU as a great team during this 10 year span. Beat 06 LSU and UF(title winner) teams. Just had a couple of random blow out losses to lesser teams

The fact that no one's even considering putting a Georgia squad on this list is proof Richt should be fired. Great recruiting area, have put a lot of people in the NFL, nothing to show for it.

Ok, 2007 team then. Won the SEC and BCS.

I, and most LSU fans, would say 06 was a better team tho.

No way would I consider that 2010 Auburn team the best. That defense was mediocre at best giving up a ton of points and yardage that season.

There could possibly be an argument for 2004 Auburn being at this spot - although not a very good one.

There is not a single valid argument for placing the 2010 Auburn team in that spot.

2011 LSU, 2011 Bama, 2009 Bama, 2006 Florida, 2004 Auburn, and 2003 LSU are all better than 2010 Auburn. That 2010 Auburn team beat like 8 teams by 8 points or less.

They still went 14-0 and you cant argue that.

Better question: How many players from the LSU and Bama 2011 defenses will be in the NFL by 2014. LSU will have 11 in 2013. That will include the ENTIRE dline and all 6 DBs that played in dime situation. Not sure if Baker made an NFL squad, if so then almost every starter is on a squad.

How many Bama guys? I am guessing almost the whole defense. Plus, most of Bama's o line will make an NFL squad.

As far the 2012 aTm arguement, you caught Bama after an emotional game and jumped on a flat team. Bama will curb stomp aTm next year because I guarantee Saban is already tired of hearing the aTm crap.

Agreed

I loved the 06 team, but 08 was much better IMO.

This is a tough one, actually. That 09 team was fantastic, but that '11 D was one of the best units I've seen.

Not trying to argue that at all. They had a fantastic season - a perfect one. But from a talent, coaching, and overall performance standpoint - the 2010 team isn't nearly as good as those other teams, including the 2004 Auburn squad.
