I was reading a recruiting article and this statement popped up. IMO, this is probably the main reason that a lot of 4 and 5* kids don't go to Alabama. I guess it would be hard to make that type of commitment.

I've read a lot of threads on this forum offering reasons why certain highly recruited kids do/don't choose a school like Alabama when they're offered, and that statement put it in perspective for me, so I thought I'd share.

How about, not everyone that is a 4 or 5 star wants to play for Alabama. The arrogance here is unreal.

Translation:

"Not everyone wants to play for a ill-tempered megalomaniac control freak."

I started to say "short-tempered", but that would be a cheap shot.

So basically, you're of the mindset that Bama would get the top 25 recruits in the country every year if they weren't scared of the demanding environment?

Top 28-30.

They would oversign and then "process" the under-achieves.

So "a lot" of 4 and 5 star kids DON'T go to Bama because they don't want to make a "commitment."
Jesus you only get 25 A YEAR, how many do you fricking WANT ??????????

And no other college program is 'demanding'. Just Bama's. Out of all the Division 1 CFB programs, there is only one that is demanding. Jesus.

LSU has an NFL Pro-style Offensive Coordinator, one of the Top Strength Coaches in Moffitt, a state-of-the art- football practice facility and the prototype Cox Academic Center for Student Athletes.
LSU has graduated a larger percentage of FB players than any SEC school but Vanderbilt.
LSU lead the country in NFL prospects and draftees in the last few years.
LSU has one of the Top 5 brands in college athletics for merchandise, profits, fan bases, traveling fans, football attendance, and actually gives money to the Academic side.

But yours is the only one where you have to make a 'commitment.'

Wow. Just, wow.

Yall get more 4 and 5 stars than anyone in the country. How many would you expect to be getting, 15? 20?

This. High level recruits choose schools for all sorts of different reasons. "I'm too lazy" is probably one of the least common.
