What is the consensus from Bama fans if they want Saban to pass “The Bear” for national championships or not?

Yes. I want him to pass Bear in championships. Because that means another in the trophy case. Not only do I want him to pass Bear in total Championships, I want him to pass him in total championships at Alabama.

Well obviously....
Although I've thought Saban passed him as best CFB headcoach years ago.

No.....
The Bear will always be the greatest coach in Bama history, and Saban wont pass him. Plus he's a legacy, Saban is a yankee liberal from Kent St.
The Bear got more out of less and here's the why because he cared and took time to mold his guys. He took ordinary players and made them extraordinary. There weren't 6'4 300 lb lineman in those days, he didnt have a whole bunch of blue chippers.
The Bear kept most of his staff intact for his entire 24 years because the assistants and players loved the guy.
Can you say the same about Saban??

If Saban puts his mind to it, he will likely equal the old Bear. Bryant looked like death at age 69. Saban is just a year shy of that and still on top of his game.
That being said, I do wonder if Saban could have produced as much while throwing back a bottle of Bourbon every day. My guess is no.
