No one in the MSM has even bothered to ask the question LINK

Most stories about Nathan refer to him as a Viet Nam vet. Several refer to him as a Marine. I am 66 years old and know personally, of no one my age who went to Viet Nam. Several friends joined the various services right after graduation – 1972.

So he was 17 when the last troops were pulling out?HIGHLY Unlikely

every single one of the of those "protesters" is lucky there isn't "white supremacy" in this country because if there was, they would all be in IC.

FWIW my dad is the same age and graduated in 1972.

He's a Vietnam vet. Did refugee evacuation under fire in '75.

The guy is protrayed as some noble victim by the MSM and always with the "Vietnam Veteran" tag thrown in his description.

Would love to find out the truth.

This should be simple to verify.

There were 24000 troops in Nam in 72, per DOD.

17 year old Marines were not uncommon back then.

Marines guarded the Embassy until 75.

True? I dunno. But certainly possible.

Last combat troops left in '72 per the article and if he enlisted and was in combat he had to be around 16.And many enlistees weren't being sent to Vietnam since the war was winding down.We still had very large commitments to Europe back then.Possible but not likely.

You're right about being a Marine embassy guard but that would be a very, very small number.Less than 200 to 300 I would imagine.

I would very much like to hear about his service and I know many native Americans served bravely in Vietnam.

He is likely a Vietnam ERA veteran. The VA often classifies veterans by eta and names the era after a conflict of the day. The VA Benefits change from era to era.

I have no issue with his service, whenever it was, my issue is he confronted and harassed a minor without provocation and then the media went after the minors.

And many who are supposed to be conservatives jumped right on board.

A nation that won't even protect it's children deserves to fail and apparently that is us.

What a fricking disgusting shite show all the way around

And I was one of them - the picture posted was so compelling I immediately thought of nothing but wanting to slap the silly smile off that punk's face.

Pathetic that even I would immediately react to something like that - makes me very angry with myself for dropping my normal cynical nature for even a moment - I can only imagine how the youth under 30 are led by the nose by this new media age - they have never had one day of honest journalism nor unbiased education.

Perhaps but he identified himself as a "Vietnam veteran"
An obvious difference and many claimed service that never sniffed the country.

yep, Vietnam Vet implies seeing full combat. I mean a dude sitting behind a typewriter is technically a "soldier" but he doesn't have the same experience as someone on the front lines. So which was it? I know this guy was a Marine, but there are support roles in that service as well. Did this dude take enemy fire or not? And it really doesn't matter anyway, this guy is massive douchebag and deserved to get his arse kicked. He's lucky those kids were a lot more generous than I would have been. I would have shoved that drum stick right up his

I don't and can find nothing to support or discredit his claim and I've looked extensively.

That is well put Bandit and I get it. I'm not trying to be too judgemental but we all have to understand the liberal media will do anything to paint conservatives as bad people. They sincerely hate us with every fiber of their being and telling heinous lies about us wouldn't cause them to blink in the slightest.

We are in a cold civil war and we need to be very vigilant, the progressive left is playing to win and if we want to survive we better do the same.

Because if they ever get the upper hand that cold civil war will become very hot.
