Cabela’s taking more discounts on scopes.

LINK

They just dropped prices on a lot of their scopes. The Cabelas made by Meopta exposed turret originally $900-1000 was $450-500 last week. They just dropped it to $337. Really good price.

I was seeing a lot of those $250 Cabela’s scopes made by Meopta from 2 weeks ago on eBay. This isn’t quite as good a deal as that one for me, but will do. I’m in for one.

Yeah, I know. I bought one last week at 450. It hasn’t arrived yet. When I saw the drop, I called Cabelas to see if they would match the drop on the one I hadn’t got yet. They are sending me a $113 gift card to make up the difference. Pretty sweet on them.

I’ve heard this item was 1. A packaging change, 2. Their contract with Meopta had expired and they had to liquidate remaining inventory. Not sure which, but lean towards packaging. Meopta is still answering questions on theses scopes on Cabela’s website so seems to me they are still supporting them on selling scopes.

Cabelas always has good deals at Christmas. I always buy a lot from them.

Damn you.

I wish they would offer them in smaller objective sizes. May still have to get one, not sure what power I want though.

Lol. My son came in last night from Baton Rouge and I talked him into getting one. He didn’t think he was in the market for one either.

Well I have a Zeiss 3-15x50 that I was going to stick on a 30 cal long-range rifle I will use out west but now thinking of getting the 20 powered one and putting the Zeiss on and 25-06.

Most scopes have screw in caps over the adjustment screws (turrets). After you sight in your scope, you screw the caps on and leave them. These are exposed (no caps) making for easy adjustments for varying distance and windage.

Overkill for me.

It is certainly an option that I am not interested in for my 6 year olds rifle but at this price it's hard not to consider over Leopoldo vx3 3.5-10x40???

I don’t think you can find anything comparable at this price. Meopta is supposed to be as good as any in low light. There are a few reviews out there that detail how good they are.

I remember reading somewhere that the old Zeiss conquest that was assembled in the US was made by Meopta. My brother has one and it is unbelievably clear. He paid about $600 15 years ago. He has to watch the time on evening hunts to make sure he doesn’t hunt past legal limits. Full moons he said he could hunt all night. That’s probably stretching it, but buying for less than 350 and that kind of reputation is hard to pass up.

And Zeiss limits their warranty to like 5 years now. This scope has a much better warranty than that.

Couldn't resist...I do not like the idea of the turrets...hoping I can set this thing like a normal scope, 1 in. High at 100 yds being dead in at 200 and go hunting. and be done with it.

Hoping it is not a bad choice for my sons rifle, if so, I could slap it on my gun I suppose
