There are some potentially interesting rumors about some goings on at Callaway High School in Jackson. James Williams from the 2018 class is the only kid from Callaway currently committed or on our roster, but State had their WR coach/recruiting coordinator, the former head coach at Callaway, leave "to take an opportunity in the NFL" today. Callaway's current head coach also left today "to explore other coaching opportunities." Something fishy is going on, but thankfully it doesn't seem like we've had much of a relationship with Callaway since Breeland Speaks, Rod Taylor, and Dayall Harris all committed in 2014.

Is this why we pulled the offer to the 4-star WR?

Allegedly. It's all smoke and mirror shite right now, but there might be something to it. Stuff does seem weird, and I've heard that some from the school beneath us are now blaming Merlins for snitching, which totally seems like a Merlins move, but it all seems a little too convenient right now. Hopefully more comes out soon, and hopefully we didn't do anything stupid

Get a Sugar Bowl within the next 3 years along with 3 first round draft picks. That's my expectation. We've done it before so we should have the expectation to do it again. Accepting anything less is accepting mediocrity.

Anyone that says it can't be done because of the NCAA stuff are enabling our decision makers to be happy with just average

Look out for Josh Clarke. He will be a force. Quick on the edge and knows how to tackle. I’m not saying first round but I’m predicting he will be taken within the first three rounds when he goes pro.

Do you count Little and A.J. to his ledger?

Yes. Anything short of completely replicating what was far and away the best season in modern program history is accepting mediocrity, regardless of whatever punishments and ramifications from such successes are currently burdening the program. Do we need to throw a 4th & 25 and an “I’d have to say yeah” draft night moment in there too? Or do we just stop at the Sugar Bowl and 3 first rounders? But yeah, if we don’t make that bowl we’ve only played in once since 1970, we should just shutter the doors to the Manning Center and raze Vaught-Hemingway, because we’re just wasting our time

If you count Nkemdiche to Freeze you have to count Little to Luke.(If it happens/likely). And since Luke will not even have an opportunity to play in his Sugar bowl the first 2 years I'm guessing year 1 would start for Luke after this season?

Yep. Only way I'll ever accept them making the lazy hire they did. I don't care how you do it, make those happen. They're my expectations and they are far from unreasonable since it was proven it could be done with a former high school girls basketball coach.

Thankfully it looks like the fanbase is as excited as I am about the Luke hire based on the interest and attendance of the spring game. I wish we treated our coaches and players like Yankees fans treat their team. Boo and be nothing but negative until they finally work hard enough to get you what you want, then praise them. Until then, they should have to prove themselves worthy of our support instead of just getting it automatically.

But noooo. They love Ole Miss and should get our undying love and support just because they put on a jersey and helmet then walk out of a tunnel

This administration will not get my support until we are no longer are a doormat. Luke is a great guy and I have no problem with him personally. But the dude is so in over his head it's ridiculous and people are just ok with it and accept the lie that he was our only option

I put more blame on Bjork and Vitter than anyone else. Vitter is Zuckerberg level socially awkward. Bjork let us be a doormat for the NCAA

I’m not sure anyone here believes that though, not to mention that anyone we would’ve hired would still have to deal with the NCAA issues and former players lawyering up against us, but obviously Luke and the other holdovers from Freeze’s staff have more exposure there. I’ve said time and time again that I don’t like the Luke hire, but I’m not going to shite on him when he does something right, however infrequent it is, just because I don’t like the hire. The 2018 crootin’ class was also one of the highest composite scores in program history, which isn’t terrible considering it was the first class after multiple former assistants got show causes and our head coach resigned in scandal. Anyone we hired would be in an unfavorable situation no other SEC school, much less the other P5 programs against whom we recruit, currently endures, and it’s ridiculous to think we wouldn’t skip a beat

Which Ole Miss coaches are under a show-cause?

I mean, by nature of the show cause, there are no coaches currently on staff that got the slap. Kiffin got caused, Farrar obviously did, and Freeze himself was barred from coaching a whole two games should he have been a head coach in 2018. Ultimately the NCAA punishes the program and players, not so much the people responsible for the problems. Still, Kiffin getting a 2 year show cause was crazy, yet indicative of how the cocksuckers at the NCAA feel about Ole Miss

I hope so. I would maybe pump the brakes on the rest of that statement.

Clarke looked good during the spring game. Just follow the dreds. Looked like Dexter was playing defense.
