I will say our outside media does a great job of hyping us up in basketball every year.... I fall for it every time

It’s awful. How does joiner get worse at shooting?

Yea and I couldn't buy into the fact our defense was really good when they haven't really played anyone with a pulse yet. I expect our defense to probably be mid pack in conference play

So how is the baseball team supposed to look this year? Anyone know who all is back? Roughly 2 months until the season starts

Outside of White and Buffen everybody else played like shite. Guards were terrible on offense and defense. 1-13 from 3 isn’t gonna win any SEC games. Kermit might be on the hot seat going into next year.

How did Kermit inspire them his first season? He basically had all the same players from AK the year prior and got them to the NCAAT

Well AK’s last team quit on him and lost a lot of close games early. The best thing Kermit did was move Shuler to PG and he got as much defense out of that roster as he could. If that team had someone like White on it it would’ve been a top 15 team in the country that year. The hope for next year is Ruffin is considered one of top scorers in his class and I think James White might be one of the biggest sleepers in this upcoming recruiting class. I have no idea what we will do about the center position next year if both are centers don’t use an extra year of eligibility this year. I’m pretty confident that Shuler is going to play professional basketball next year but have no idea if White will.

I only watched the first half but based on the final score it looks like I didn’t miss much. If Joiner/Murrel can’t score 10+ a night for us it’s going to be a long season. Doesn’t matter how solid the D is if we are down a million points and can’t turn stops into points on the other side.

I really think we are better than we were last night. It was just one of those games. They happen. It will happen again. But if Shuler is that off and Joiner can’t hit a few we probably don’t win. Buffen played well (when he was in the game), but he has got to stay out of foul trouble so much. It would also be nice to see Sy get up to game speed. Oh, and Rodrigues was off as well. Again, just a perfect storm.

I tend to agree with this, I definitely think we are weak at guard since nobody seems to be stepping up, but we arent 0 assists and 7% from 3 bad at guard (I hope). Also seemed like every bama miss with long rebounds went right to their guy.

We don’t suck, we just don’t have a Bona fide star who can score 15-20 per night. Really hurts not having a go to guy right now. Hoping someone breaks out as a leader
