Yeah I’m sure one of the young guys will step into a shooting role at some point as the offense gets more reps. I’m pleased that our defense is this good early. Competition is going to improve but that level of intensity will play every night in any arena

This Saturday against Dayton will be the first real game they play. This team sort of reminds me of an old big east team. They play great defense and are really physical. It’s a complete opposite of what we’ve been in the past. If this team can hit enough threes it can beat any team they play with that defense.

Our defense is fricking stout, and you can overcome shooting woes from time to time when that’s the case at least

Has anybody heard anything on Sy? It’s like he just got bypassed in the rotation for minutes. Ro White is playing better than anyone can ask right now but Sammy hunter is getting minutes before Sy.

He hasn’t played since the first game and the rumor was he was dealing with a shoulder injury but Kermit said it wasn’t the shoulder. COVID probably makes the most sense because Kermit said he couldn’t talk about it. He’s probably out for another week.

It might be the best defense we’ve ever had. It’s easily the best since probably the early 2000s.

If our offense gets hot we can beat anyone with this defense.

I guess I was wrong about us. Terrible, terrible loss today. Dayton isn't any good since they have beat mighty opponents like Eastern Illinois by 3, Northern Kentucky by 6, and Mississippi State by 3.

Yeah that was a disappointing loss but it was on the road against a traditionally good team.
Disappointing not to win, but I don't think (hope) it will set the tone for the rest of the season.

Big missed chance. First decent team we’ve played and we fail. Shuler goes 4 for 16. Not good enough. But at least it’s a long season.

They simply don’t have an elite scorer that can take over games. They will be in every game because of their defense but they simply aren’t gonna win many games easy either.

We have a bunch of guys with max capability of averaging 10-12 PPG. Definitely need that elite scorer like we've had before. Imagine if we had Tyree on this team.

We get a chance to build our resume this week with a quality top 300 ken Pom game against UT Martin on Tuesday

Yea our defense will keep us in games but the offense is dreadful.
