Hope the offense immediately starts practicing with the silent count to get comfortable with it as bama will be geeked up and 100,000 will look to cause chaos . It will be the first real adversity the offense will have to overcome is the noise

I have concerns about Umana at center for this game given the enovironment that will be awaiting us . Hope they get that situated .

Sam Williams has 4 sacks in three games without playing playing much in the 2nd half in two games. The only concern on offense is the OLine hasn’t been great in three games. The defense is a middle of the pack SEC defense this year. It’s not great but outside of Bama I’m not sure who in the SEC has a good offense in the west. Oklahoma offense and defense both struggled with Tulane. We scored more points in a half than Oklahoma did all game. We might have the best offense in the country. The biggest issue this team has is depth. If we Sam Willliams or Chance Campbell the defense isn’t very good. The offense really doesn’t have much depth outside of RB.

Besides Alabama(and even they are struggling with injuries already) who has the depth to absorb the loss of their two best defensive players?

Offense is deeper than most people think. We have a lot of skill guys that we've kept under wraps. Come game time vs. Alabama, I think a lot of unfamiliar faces are going to contribute in ways we haven't seen. Jahcour Pearson might be the fastest guy on the team, and he hasn't gotten the ball much.

I just cant get over the thing of beauty that this offense is to watch.

Corral can make every throw needed. Is willing to run enough and fast enough with it to be a serious threat. Our trio of backs is amazing. We have the speed burner with Sanders that if you take one play off he is behind you and Corral can get him the ball. Have the big bodied WR in Mingo. And Drummond has just played great as well.

The speed that our offense runs at is insane as well. I mean just damn. Truly amazing to watch.

Another HUGE aspect is 3rd and long isnt the huge disadvantage for us that it traditionally is for other teams. We dont need to pick up 11 on 3rd and 10. We need 6-8 yards and most teams will soften up and give you that. Then we will rush to the line without hesitation and pick up the first on 4th and 4 with a play that the offense could run in their sleep because they are so comfortable with those plays.

And i dont want to get too into the Arch recruiting situation. I know the Mannings are all about "do whats best for you" when it comes to it. But if we keep this up and keep Kiffin around how is this not "whats best" for Arch.

It would really be nice if Kiffin decided to dig in and build something at Ole Miss. Here's the part that makes no sense to me when people start talking about him leaving.

For Kiffin to get overtures from "big time" programs, he'll have to have some big wins. But if he does have those big wins and beats say, Alabama, then he has proven that he can win at Ole Miss.

So, if he proves that he can win at Ole Miss, what necessitates a move? If you can upset Alabama, then you can contend for a natty. Why not do that at Ole Miss?

The main things that would concern me about Lane are lifestyle and money. He seems to prefer to live near the ocean. And if he gets us in contention for the SEC, people are going to take out their checkbooks - are we capable of matching others financially?

On the latter question, if not, then frick it....if we're not going to pony up the $$$$ then we don't deserve to compete for the SEC, because cold, hard cash is what it takes to win in this league. And hopefully Keith Carter knows this and is prepared to act on it.

If any team scoops Kiffin up this year or next, it’ll be one in the NFL.

Something I’ve not paid attention to I was hoping one of you Xs and Os guys could answer.. have we blitzed a lot? Will we / should we against Bama?

No. The 3-2-6 scheme we've been playing doesn't come with a ton of full-on blitzes. To be fair, we haven't needed to so far.

Yes. Bama's offense is highly predicated on Bryce Young's ability pass the ball. Make him uncomfortable early, force him to make mistakes, don't let him slant/underneath route you to death. Don't get greedy, though, and try to make a play where there isn't one.

We will blitz some on 3rd down but don’t expect more than 5 or 6 man blitzes. We haven’t blitzed from the secondary so I wouldn’t be surprised if we do it in this game. Bama runs a lot of crossing routes and they try to get their athletes in space to make guys miss. I would expect a lot of 3 or 4 man rushes with zone behind them. The biggest question mark is can we stop the run with 5 and 6 in the box.

Let’s face it, we are very likely to get gashed at times. Maybe many many times. We just have to do plenty of that ourselves.

If anyone was concerned with Liberty this year, they lost to Syracuse last night.

If we go 2-0 the next two games, there's no excuse for us to not win the West.

We beat Bama and then lose to Arkansas.
