I thought 3 (Ealy, Plumlee and Malone). Who would be the other one?

I coulda swore I read somewhere that MJ Daniels was one but it’s seemingly like that’s not the case

Correct and I think MSU somehow has the advantage of recruiting in state. Both teams need to recruit nationally but we need to do it more. Thankfully we are more appealing on a national level.

The various school districts in MS are loaded teachers, admin, coaches, maintenance, etc. with state alums. They have a huge edge particularly in the rural areas.

Statewide paper did a story on RB Jarquez Hunter saying how he chose Auburn over us and State. Never really heard any OM folks mention his name over the last several months. Wonder how much we were really after him. I can see why he wouldn’t chose state at that position.

I don’t think we recruited him hard. The last minute offer from Auburn’s staff says a lot. Hope he isn’t a new Avery or Henderson though.

Trae Berry South Alabama TE is expected to announce transfer to Ole Miss this summer. He’s a tall TE that’s had trouble staying healthy but is a big time receiving threat when healthy. Maryland LB Chance Campbell could announce for us this week. Neal thinks we will try to get a couple of DL transfers now.

Trae Berry plays for Jackson State. Sounds like that LB is really good too.

Correct me if I am wrong, but with the COVID exemption, he should have 2 years of eligibility right?

I think Berry might actually be from Jacksonville State. We gonna eventually get this correct.

You're right... Neal and Zach have posted at least twice that he's from my Jackson State. My bad... He's athletic and looks to have a pretty high vertical. I am worried he can stay healthy though.

If he plays a reasonably good LB he can be from anywhere he wants to be.

Yep.
Great pickup.

Maryland linebacker Chance Campbell announced on Monday that has committed to transferring to Ole Miss.
Campbell was named All-Big Ten honorable mention last season after ranking third in the conference with 11 tackles per game.
A junior, Campbell is on track to graduate in May and would be immediately eligible at Ole Miss this coming season.
Great pickup.

Maryland is in the big 10? wtf

Yeah they made that move a while ago. They're so out of place there. They remind me of Mizzou in the SEC. Don't get me wrong, I like Mizzou but culturally they aren't much of a fit

I’m more shocked that Rutgers is in the Big 10 over any other conference moves.... they just scream G5 as an athletic program

I think Rutgers fits in well with the Big 10. They have kind of that elitist academia feel to them and that screams Big 10

South of Hwy 44 in Missouri fits in pretty well with the SEC IMO. There are parts of Kentucky very much like northern Missouri. Two weird states.
