re: Official 2020 Ole Miss Football Thread - The Lane Train is Leaving the Station
If we are limiting it just to the 2 of them, I'd like to see Corral under center and Plumlee @ RB or slot. That said, Tisdale or Dent might well see the field @ QB too. As this season might be a throw-away, we might see all 4 at different times during the season.

Looks like we get UF out the gate. Tough matchup for us early on but at least it is at home.

The home crowd advantage should really give us an edge.

We definitely play Corral and Plumlee. If we get down by a lot I think we see one of Tisdale or Dent, probably Tisdale if I had to guess. Lotttttt of time left before week 1 though so no way to say for sure.

OP has been updated with the newly released schedule. Honestly doesn’t shape up to be that bad. Our toughest games are spread out evenly across our schedule which is an improvement of what our schedule was gonna be like before.

I'm shocked to see that UF is only an 8 point favorite. What am I missing? I just didn't picture us as having a shot in this matchup.

re: Official 2020 Ole Miss Football Thread - The Lane Train is Leaving the Station
OddsMakers seem to think Lane will make an instant improvement to our team that will be seen in the first game. I dig it.

ETA: To the credit of the OddsMakers, this team could have beaten Memphis, Texas A&M, Missouri, Auburn and Mississippi State last year if we had better coaching. Those games were all close.

Let that sink in. We could have gone 9-3 rather than 4-8 if we have better coaching. There is not a lack of talent on this roster and if Kiffin is half the coach we think he is, we should win 5ish ball games this year.

Maybe oddsmakers think all the opt outs for FL will have a very big impact?

It is out of left field as we don't have a qb with any experience in the new system and there's been only a minute amount of camp/practice to install the new systems. New staff hasn't really had a chance to evaluate who the starters will even be

In other news, I just got off the phone with the Ole Miss Ticket Office and they are currently waiting on a verdict from Tate Reeves. Now that other teams are announcing I imagine we hear what capacity we will be allowed as early as tomorrow.

Henry Parrish is turning heads. I don’t remember us ever having this many good running backs.

Maybe this has already been discussed, but I see where Dionte Marks (the Florida transfer) has decided to go to UCF instead.

I’m really starting to hate UCF.

I think we will go with 25% capacity with no tailgating allowed

That is precisely what we are doing. Tate announced it today.
