Thank God they just insisted on passing here and there. They could have run it with supreme success on nearly every down.

Somehow the defense looked serviceable in the last couple SC drives.

I corrected this and now agree with this statement. Prior to the 4th Qtr our DL was getting crushed which didn’t allow our LBs a chance. Plus we had no one setting the edge all night. We need some DEs with size and strength to handle this so the play funnels back inside to the LBs.

On another note has anyone ever seen a game where a holding call is never thrown all night? Their TE held non-stop and on one play Jordan Rogers was gushing over a pancake block. On the replay their OL got the “pancake” by dragging the Ole Miss player to the ground.

Can we not schedule someone else with the SEC "flexibility" rule in place for this weekend?

Edit: all other SEC east teams we haven't played have games this weekend. This sucks

Egg Bowl Week officially starts now.

Anyone watch that UGA game? Didn’t see that effort coming at all. Looks like State’s offense has added a few run plays to combat the drop 8, but they still basically dinked and dunked the whole game. Looked like the majority of passes were dump offs to the back or hitting the quick slant or the WR curling in the middle of the field for 5 yards.

States run defense is legit, and they also were legit against screens. They struggled against deep ball which is expected with all the losses they’ve had in the secondary.

Their rush defense is looking pretty good... luckily we can throw without much effort

We’d sorta like to but just not sure I want to spend well over a hundred and drive 2.5 hours one way.

Understandable, this will be my first time back to VHS since Vandy during last year. I'm excited to see this offense on the field.
