re: Official 2020 Ole Miss Football Thread - The Lane Train is Leaving the Station
This was a god awful coached game. Plumlee should never play when the game is on the line. They used him twice in the 2nd half that cost this game. 3 and 7 and they run Plumlee that led to the god awful fake field goal. Then they put him in 2 plays when we had a chance to win it late and he lost 5 yards on the run. Kiffin calls timeout and chickens out on going for it on 4th down. Hopefully Plumlee transfers so this is all over with.

I love plumlee and hope we are able to find a way to use him, but when he’s in they are going to play the run and there’s a 95% chance it’s going to be him running. I’d like to rewatch the plays he’s in and see if the receivers outside of moore even have someone covering them on those plays.

This right here. Kiffin still has a lot to learn about being a head coach in the SEC.

re: Official 2020 Ole Miss Football Thread - The Lane Train is Leaving the Station
The difference is that Kiffin has these kids in position to make plays and they don't do it. Corral's INT is inexcusable. Yeboah not making that catch is inexcusable.

The mistakes Kiffin made we're with the lack of a timeout (which may have been negated if Yeboah makes the catch) and not having Plumlee throw the ball at least once. They mixed it up with Corral running occasionally. I know Plumlee isn't the best arm, but damn, just a few plays throwing would help.

It comes down to execution. These kids just aren't good. Corral being the most egregious at this point.

I feel like the offense has regressed in 2 weeks. It’s a blend of the players not making plays and the coaching not trusting the passing game. Don’t like the plumlee/corral in and out BS. Especially if you don’t let plumlee throw.

They need to open the offense back up. Use the middle of the field in the passing game and mingo needs to learn how to catch. Same with Kenny.

Man, two big missed chances the last two weeks. Hurts big time. Even hurts recruiting a little bit.

Teams dropping a lot in coverage taking away the passing game. Corral tried to throw deep despite that last week and we saw what happened. We need to run to open up the deep pass and through underneath.

That’s exactly what we did. Just didn’t need to throw the pick in the end zone and drop passes at crucial times.

Just watching the replay on the SEC Network. They still didn’t review the kickoff. WTH?

SEC admitted the play should have been reviewed and that they didn’t look at the slow motion shot that we all saw where the ball pretty clearly touched the guy’s hand. They also fined Kiffin $25K for being mean

SEC is a joke

kiffin would get an F for clock management here.

Still better than any clock management Luke ever had.

Luke’s fat fricking arse would be wandering around the side line by himself squinting up at the tron wondering when the coach is going to call a timeout.

Thank the Lord!!! Great news. Still prayers going up. I believe Coach Kiffin called his mother right after it happened. That is a phone call you never want to receive. God bless this kid. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
