Predictions on record? My guess is 4-6 with wins against State, Vandy, Arky, and split between UK and SC.

I see 4 wins, 5 at most. Could unfortunately easily be 3

How are bowl games supposed to work? Does 5 wins get you a bowl bid?

I would take 4-6 on a conference only schedule every day that ends in Y.

I bet they would just open it up and do some fun matchups. Rules would be out the window since every conference will be different.

Punishment of staying quarantined in Shreveport for 2 weeks at Christmas is enough to make players opt out haha

RIP to Oxford and all the other small college towns in the SEC and across the nation if this is the case. Go eat at all the restaurants you like because they won’t be here in the spring.

If the SEC is the only conference that plays this fall so be it. Players are safer under supervision at school than left on their own back home. They have better testing and medical attention than normal people plus all of it would be free for them.

Rumor is the chances of us playing football are getting more slim by the day. Would be a killer for Kiffin and Co. who need some momentum to get the program on track

We can’t let the media and liberals win. They’ve taken too much from us already.

And it’s not like the 15k or so we’d draw to games is exactly going to stimulate the economy

I live close enough to oxford I go there a good amount simply to eat, but I can promise you I won’t go to a game this year because I just don’t want to deal with the hassle.

I just don’t see college football happening this year and I don’t even think NFL will happen. Look at how many games MLB has already canceled and the shite show it has been. The only college sport I’m sure can be played is basketball because of the smaller rosters.

NFL will happen this year. College is a different animal because it's harder to control what the athletes do. I was at a packed party last night with several college athletes from a SEC school so they don't give a shite about all that's going on. The NFL players will isolate themselves from social situations since their pay is on the line, but college athletes just want to party and not give a shite.

I hate to think about what it could do to Oxford. A full year without the revenue of a college football season will killer for a lot of businesses.

I don't understand why they can't play. The players are all around each other outside of practice/school/games anyways, and they are NOT distancing themselves from parties and such. Hell, as widespread as is I wouldn't be shocked that half the players have already had it. Some are even estimating that 22% of the population of Mississippi has already had covid, and I fully believe it.

We just have a bunch of pussies in leadership who can't see that this virus does not have an effect on college aged individuals, and doesn't have a severe effect on the majority of individuals under the age of 70. We are looking to be past the peak of our covid wave in the southeast, and now is not the time to be panicking.

This X10000

Keith Carter and the rest of the SEC ADs could lead on this but I’m sure they won’t. Those kids are safer on campus surrounded by medical staff 24/7 than they are at home with no medical care and no support staff monitoring them. Also their mental health will suffer not playing. Consider how many seniors are gonna get processed to make space for incoming freshmen. Rosters are going to be a nightmare next year.

If the players want to play then why not let them? Make them sign a waiver absolving the schools of responsibility and let’s get it done.

If the ADs, etc. don’t allow us to play then the fans should demand their resignations immediately.
