McKinley Jackson dropped his Top 5. In no particular order: Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Texas A&M.

I think it will most likely be a tight end since we lose our top 2 after this season and don’t really return any good ones next year

Do you not check out the Sports Life below except for pics of Danica Patrick doing Yoga and the Marshall volleyball player? The latest on Martel is there for consumption

The transfer is TE Chase Rogers from ULL.

I really like the addition of Chase Rogers and apparently he will be a walk-on here. I wished that we had found a way to take him in the 2017 class.

If Rogers gets healthy, I think that’s a solid walk on. Hopefully he’ll be able to fill the huge hole at tight end next year.

We should be able to apply for a sixth year of eligibility as he played in 2017 but redshirted after 3 games last year.

Since Rogers already redshirted last year, would the NCAA even allow him to count this year as a medical redshirt year since he would already have to sit out? Or would we be able to count last year as the medical redshirt year and count this year as a regular redshirt year?

re: Official 2020 Ole Miss Football Recruiting Thread: Updated 12:00PM 9/12/19
This is from an Alabama 247 article on their top targets:

On JJ Pegues: “A recruit that hasn’t been mentioned much among Alabama targets, Pegues says he’s been in contact with the Tide daily and is planning an official visit to Tuscaloosa. Bama offered the Oxford, Miss. product back at Junior Day in February. The tight end target says Auburn leads with the Tide in at No. 2. Pegues' position is of major need in 2020 for Alabama with depth scarce entering the 2019 season, so it’s not a surprise to see the staff covering all its bases beyond the recruitments of Arik Gilbert and Darnell Washington. Alabama has one tight end already committed in Ohio native Caden Clark.”

On McKinley Jackson: “The Magnolia State standout released his top five earlier this month, with Alabama — as expected — safely making the cut. The Tide along with Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M will be vying for Jackson’s commitment, at this point expected on National Signing Day in February. A one-time LSU pledge, there are plenty of reasons for optimism on the Bama side, but it will be a battle to the end. Helping the Tide's cause are a pair of new assistants in outside linebackers coach Sal Sunseri and defensive line coach Brian Baker who both recruited Jackson at their previous stops.”

I'm trying to imagine going through the past decade of Ole Miss football, and still giving one solitary frick about any of it. You baws carry on, though.

Is it too early to start the 2023 recruiting thread for Arch Manning?

Twitter highlights

Arch Manning 21/25, 341 yds, 4 TD’s

Seriously though why has Luke not offered

Wearing number 16 makes me think of Peyton. That is a bad omen for Ole Miss. I'm sure we will get the death penalty in 2023 if he decides to attend Ole Miss.

There should’ve been a scholarship offer letter waiting for him as soon as he got home from the hospital after he was born.

If he keeps playing like that and we get him on board early we will have the best offensive recruiting class in school history. That kid could call the best OTs and WRs in the nations and hand pick who he wants to play with.

So I’m sure he’ll go to LSU

Yea I think LSU gets him but then again maybe he wants to follow in the family footsteps.
