Gentlemen, football is back!!! The weather in Oxford is hot and humid, the students are back in class, and the Ole Miss fan base is excited for another year of the best tailgating location in the country. As for the football team itself, some things have changed since the end of last year's 5-7 campaign. Gone are offensive stalwarts AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, and Jordan Ta'amu, in are young stars Matt Corral, Jerrion Ealy, and Elijah Moore. Gone are former coordinators Phil Longo and Wesley McGriff, in are Rich Rodriguez and Mike MacIntyre and their new philosophies. Gone are the NCAA sanctions, giving the Rebels the opportunity to make the postseason for the first time since the 2016 Sugar Bowl. What lies in store for third-year head coach Matt Luke and the new look Rebels? We'll find out on Saturday.

I would hope he is at least 190. He is only 5ft 9 though.

I’m traveling out of State and am hoping to find a link for the game. Video or just
a radio link would be fine. It doesn’t appear to be on ESPN + or on the Directv app.
Any leads ?

I know it’s on ABC but I won’t be near a TV set and can’t stream ABC on the phone.

It should be on the ESPN app (WatchESPN) since it’s on ABC. Someone correct me if I’m wrong though.

TuneIn Radio app has all broadcasted OM sports anywhere on the planet. It does have glitches sometimes but mostly reliable.

It depends on where you live if it is available on the directly app. ABC is not available for streaming in
my area so no go for me. Tunein radio it is.

My confidence level for this Memphis game has been all over the place leading up it. This game and season is going to ride or die on how Luke developed this young oline. And we might find out real soon tomorrow that answer.

Another added point, it’s weird going into this season thinking our two deepest positions are probably running back and linebacker. The constant turnover in college is amazing in how quick your weakest two positions can become your best.

I was talking to a coworker about this yesterday, it really is crazy. Heck, look at Bama, use to be a RB factory now (they still have studs in the RB room) but they're real elite depth is at WR.

Also I know we've been spoiled at WR so this year feels like a let down, but we potentially have more depth there this year than ever. I know most guys are yet to be seen but we have 9 (Sanders, Moore, Battles, Mingo, Drummond, Knight, Jackson x2, Gregory) who can all take major reps. Thats unheard of.
Another thing to think about is how this offense could potentially look in the future when you realize that Sanders is the only upperclassman, Moore and Knight are the only sophomores, and the rest of them plus Ealy, Snoop, and Corrall are all freshmen. Thats the silverlining above all else imo

Not to mention we took about 8 offensive linemen in last years recruiting class. So, the offense does have potential to be good for the next few years.

Agreed about the offensive line. I was literally just about to comment that. If you go back and look at our past couple / current classes, there’s a lot of projected depth at offensive line (star ratings aside).

However... the issue is going to be retaining this staff and allowing a system to develop over a couple-few years. I don’t see guys like Rich Rod or MM sticking around especially if we start seeing success. But first thing is first, Rich Rod and MM need to prove their worth by improving our team. If that doesn’t happen, then speculating about their HC aspirations seems rather irrelevant.

I am really excited to see these young WR's.

Do we think RR is going to run the ball as much as he usually does or will he try and capitalize with these talented WR's?

People keep saying there’s going to be a huge drop off in production out of the WRs, but I don’t think it will be that big.

4 star WRs running actual routes > 5 stars “chasing space”
