I have no problem when Matt Luke gets criticism but when somebody says they want Freeze back I don’t get it. Freeze is the reason we had to deal with NCAA. If he didn’t preach to the NCAA a bible verse who knows if the NCAA doesn’t do a witch hunt on us. Freeze is like the crazy ex who gave you a STD and is insane but gave you great sex a few times. I don’t think Luke is the answer but it sure as hell isn’t Freeze.

Freeze made us nationally relevant. Yeah the NCAA went on a witch hunt trying to get him fired and take us down but I would hope he and our boosters have learned from it and know how to not get caught in the future.

I don't give a shite if we cheat or not. If we are going to be relevant, we have to cheat.

I have updated the second post ITT to reflect our total stats (so far this season) and will update it after every game. I have highlighted some things that I find worrisome, which are the following:

1) Time of Possession
2) Passing Offense
3) Passing Defense

ETA: I will include national rankings for various stats in that post in the future when I have some time to add those.

our passing O doesn't look that bad when you consider we are running more. good %, yds per catch and td/int ratio. our pass d sucks though.

I think what you are missing in all of this is that Freeze would not be able to deliver any of the previous results again if we took him back because everyone is wise to his antics now. He will not draw the same attention he had before with recruits, and he will not with assistant coaches either. He had his shot and he blew it.

I agree that we need to try to identify someone who is not scared to do what it takes to win, and that definitely means pushing the envelope in grey areas around recruiting, but surely there are other candidates out there besides freeze who know how to do that. Everyone else in the big power 5 programs finds ways to do it without tweeting at the NCAA because of your ego after you get your feelings hurt.

Can anyone tell me why the line is moving towards Ole Miss? Did Cal have an injury last week or something? I think we have a chance but I’m not seeing this massive swing.

Cal has no offense and only beat North Texas by 7 at home in Week 3. Road game across the country, will be hot as hell, and an 11:00AM kickoff will feel like 9:00AM for Cal. Ole Miss looked sloppy last week but is ultimately 2-1 and has shown flashes of good-to-great defense. Cal beat Washington but early season rankings don't mean as much as late season rankings.

For further context, Cal scored 20 points in the first quarter last weekend vs. NT, and only scored 3 more points the rest of the game. Cal also has a depleted offensive line.

Their offense isn't good at all which means they'll make us look silly somehow. I expect that we will see a game like Memphis. If I were a betting man I would hammer the under.

Have you seen the line? O/U is set at 41.5 points. I’m taking the over, not because of the offenses, but because I think there could be a couple defensive plays that score or set up field position.

Also, they’re going with the powder blue helmet again. It’s a good look but it’s starting to get worn out already.

Powder blue helmets along with LSU's uniforms and Pitts uniforms are never going to get old

Somebody find out where Cal is staying and shoot fireworks and play loud music outside their hotel all night long.
