I really hope this team can make the tournament. The NCAA one, that is.

We have a legit 7 footer. I don't think we've ever had that under AK.

quote:

13 - DOMINIK OLEJNICZAK

2015-16 (FRESHMAN): Played in 20 games as a true freshman … Averaged 6.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game … Shot 72.2 percent (83 of 115) from the field and recorded 21 blocked shots for the Bulldogs … Started the final nine games of his freshman campaign averaging 10.3 ppg and pulling down 4.6 boards a game and posted 16.6 ppg and 7.7 rpg in his last three starts of the year … Scored a season-high 19 points and pulled down nine boards against Loyola … Added 18 points and eight rebounds vs. Missouri State … Posted 13 points and seven rebounds vs. Northern Iowa.

PERSONAL: A native of Torun, Poland … Averaged 14.0 points and 7.0 rebounds a game for SMS PZKosz Wladyslawowo in Poland’s second division ... Posted 7.5 points and 5.0 boards a game for Poland during the U-18 Division A European Championships in the summer of 2015 … Played for the Polish National Team in the U-20 European Championships in Greece in summer of 2016 ... Majoring in journalism ... Chose Ole Miss over Arizona, California and Colorado.

If this dude made some strides during his redshirt he has a chance to really fill in nicely for Sebas. It would be sick if AK could get the Euroball bigman pipeline going. We need some Dirk Nowitzki types that can pull up but also slam it in your face while talking shite to you in Polish

Now AK can point to Sebas as an example and show them a badass arena to come play in. Im fired up.

Our non-conference schedule is setting up for us to hopefully get 8-9 wins preseason. Obviously going undefeated would be huge going into sec play, but that usually doesn't happen. I think MTSU and VT would both be solid wins. We have to win those.

Don't forget we get Texas in the big 12 tournament and we have Utah in the Las Vegas tournament. If we beat Utah we will get an UNLV team that has top 25 preseason hype. Overall we could potentially play three top 25 teams in the nonconference schedule. We really need to win one and take care against the bad teams. Our nonconference schedule overall is pretty good and gives us a chance to pick up a good resume heading into SEC play. When you add the Texas game that will played in the middle of SEC play, I think three losses or less will put us in great position in the non league to make the tournament.

That Shaka Smart team is going to be really talented, but still is super young. Might be able to sneak a win against those freshman early in the season.

Scrimmage w/ Southern Miss as reported by Ben (trying not to just copy and paste premium content)

Terence Davis leading scorer, 23 points (9 of 13)
Bruce Stephens 1 rebound shy of double double.
Schuler looked really good
As a team, 50% from the floor and over 40% from 3

They said turnovers were a problem and free-throw shooting was a problem. Obviously this was a practice and not a real game and this is a small sample size. Also didn't get a lot of offensive boards and we fouled a lot. Thats really all they had to say.

I looked for it, I guess they didn't report it. I hope if we shot the ball that well we won but we will never know I guess.

6-11 Soph F Karlis Silins has injured his knee again and it will require surgery. Out indefinitely, same knee as last year.

Who wrote this? We're they joking and I missed it? Someone named Bruce Stephens....??? Maybe it was just a joke and they really do know who Stephens is.
