OU needed that win. Now, winning one of the next two will put OU in the conversation for top ten. Win both, and OU should vault up the voting for top baseball teams.
I am hoping for a good to great showing.
Still, it will be the SEC performance that impacts seeding and post season chances. Sooner baseball does NOT want to pull "a Moser" and win early only to get drubbed in conference play!

We will learn more about the team these next 2 games. Will need a good reliever staff is my guess. I think our starters are rock solid but all pitchers get hit and our relievers will be key.
Skip is great at developing pitchers. Past shows he paces them throughout the year. Meaning early and mid season he won’t let them over throw even if in a tight game. That can lead to some losses but protects their arms for the longer game (season).
Cam (our Sun pitcher) came from LSU and had control problems. If Skip can tame that he’s got great potential. In his one win he had one shakey inning but was great all his other ones.
We have not had to do much scrambling yet but will these next 2 games. Even if we lose both, its how we play overall I’m looking at.

Glad to see us get that one. I think we're going to need that momentum against Virginia.

Pitching wise this is OUs best rotation we have had at OU imo. 3 potential 1st round starting pitchers with quality talented relievers . The starting pitching may be so good w May not know how good the relievers are till mid season.

Run rule win. Had a first time starting pitcher, he was top 5 coming out of HS. Perfect game for him to start and work out cobwebs.
