I think you mean MPG.

Not that gay now is it?

Yes it is because there is nothing more heterosexual than a Detroit built big block guzzling fossil fuels with roaring straight pipes. It gives me a huge boner and makes me tear into some pussy while reciting the pledge of allegiance and shooting my AR 15 into the air.

A good number of problems come from water in the floor boards on the VW's and Audi's. Some of these cars have the ECM/PCM in a box mounted beneath the passenger carpet. Water gets in there and causes all kinds of electrical issues.

Yes I realize that water in the floor boards can cause problems but what needs to be known is whether the VW's actually have wet floor boards more often than other brands. If they dont or it is about the same then I guess it wont really be any worse to take your chances with a VW.

True but most manufacturers aren't stupid enough to take the most important electrical component, mount in in the lowest possible spot beneath the heater core and evaparator core, and not think that's a bad location for it. Good design in a vehicle is all about planning for the future and not creating issues that could be prevented had it been done another way. VW and other German manufacturers are notorious for over engeneering their cars.

Yes they are, but google the '12 jetta. It is a lot more of a standard car but it has enough elan to make it more fun than the avg sedan. It was her choice and like I said I was totally against them from the get go. She did her homework though and I am convinced that she made a good decision. Will it outlast a camry? Probably not but it is damn sure better than anything put out by doemstic companies.

Agreed. The US can't make a car worth a shite nowadays and the government is largely to blame for this. They have stuck their noses in to a place where it doesn't belong with all of the regulations on MPG and safety. Now car makers are making cars with cheaper materials and making cuts any way they can to save money and MPG's.

You are right, damn shame how that has all unfolded. I have always been a toyota man myself so at least the foreign makers are still putting out a good vehicle.
