frick that guy and every other phuck that makes these videos. I can't stand these tards that act like all of their privacy is taken away because someone asks them a simple question. Yeah let's stop having checkpoints. Let's stop questioning people. Let's not guard the border. Don't answer any questions from cops. Next thing you know, all the thugs are going to be doing the same thing for no reason and getting away instead of getting caught. Or more people will start doing this shite and waste more tax payers money. These guys are a joke.

"Are you a U.S. citizen?"

"yes"

"you are free to go"

"Awwwwwww, my rights"

I'm all for less government, but let's stop criticizing the people that are there for our protection. We owe it to them to make their job easier.

I understand both sides. I feel bad for the officers because they are doing their job and what is asked for them.

At the same time, I have been pulled over for bullshite things ("Your plates are expired" when I just updated registration and put the sticker on the week before) and believe that the enforcement agencies are over the top with pulling people over for no reason.

There needs to be a good balance between probable cause and pulling people over to just to pull people over. Just don't think we will see that balance anytime soon

Agreed, but when we're talking about border control and you can simply say the word "yes" and go about your day, you are being a selfish little twat by making this video. I guess he also complains about mexicans being asked for their ID when a cop pulls them over.

If these stops were actually AT THE BORDER, I'd tend to agree with you. As far as I can tell, many, if not all, of these stops were at interior checkpoints, well inside the US. They are doing this instead of actually securing the border.

They seem to think that illegal immigrants that were smart enough to evade the border controls will somehow stupidly drive right up to one of these interior checkpoints and admit they are illegal.

They are not required to stop and answer those questions and allow searches without at least reasonable suspicion if not probable cause. If you don't like that, GTFO of America.

You think government officials should be able to pull over anyone at anytime and subject them to questions and searches for no reason? If you do, you are a fricking idiot. If you don't, then STFU.

It wasn't at the border you fricking dumbshit.

Lets just give up all our freedoms because the government sucks at doing its job. Yeah, that's a country I want to live in. You're an idiot.

The thing about cops is that they don't expect everyone to know their rights as well as that guy in the video and know that people will do whatever a cop will ask them so they incriminate themselves. With most cops if they figure out you know your rights they will send you on your way but some are just too stupid to know it themselves even though that is their job.

Not bashing cops at all, I am about to start the process of trying to become one.

That's, like, the best security ever. I don't think anyone will ever think up a clever way around that.

Terrorist: Salaam

Officer: Howdy. You a US citizen?

Terrorist: Ummmm...ye....ah no, actually. I'm not.

Officer: Please pull to the side, sir.

Terrorist: Damn these Americans and their security.

Yeah, TDs, right on man.

There's a difference between standing up for your rights and going out of your way to be a dick.

Showing up law enforcement just to prove a point doesnt make you enlightened and progressive, it makes you a childish arse.

He could have just been easily gone in 5 seconds.

I don't understand why people bash this guy. Do you not understand the principal of it? They are asking an illegal question in essence. If they will stop your car and ask you this question and tell you they need to search your car, what is to stop them from coming to your house and doing the same thing?

You realize your car is an extension of your home? Hence why you can have a gun cocked and loaded sitting on your lap driving down the road if you would like to. They can't search your vehicle without or detain you for answering a question because you are technically on your private property.

Lets not lose sight of what's important. Yes, government law enforcement officers were violating the law, but SOME DUDE WITH A VIDEO CAMERA WAS BEING A PRICK!

Do we really want to live in a country where citizens expose governmental abuse by videotaping the offenders? I know I don't.
