I disagree. I'm all for pulling that dude out of the car and slapping the shite out of him with a copy of the constitution.

Lets just burn the Constitution while we're at it

You'll notice that every one of these feds let him go (eventually) because they know he's right.

I agreed mainly for the guy being a douche. If you seriously have an issue with the question/inspection, get a lawyer and take it to court. Dont give the poor sap whose job it is a hard time.

It was pretty obvious he was looking to get in an argument when he "thought" he was given the go-ahead motion.

frick getting a lawyer and going to court. He proved his point and went on his way in 15 minutes and it didn't cost him a goddamned dime. If he goes to court nothing is going to happen and he wastes his money.

Why? Do you want to repeal the 4th Amendment? Do you want the government to have unlimited access inside our vehicles without cause, and unlimited authority to detain us without cause? If you don't want the government to be able to do that, you have to stand up for those rights which are protected by the 4th amendment. The 4th amendment doesn't mean shite if people aren't willing to invoke it. You should be thanking that guy, not shitting on him because he made a federal employee have to actually use his brain for 10 minutes.

Is it his job to solve the issue? He exercised his rights. If that bothers you so bad why don't you start a campaign to repeal the 4th amendment?

Exercising rights which others have died for = dick move.

Illegally detaining and searching vehicles = perfectly acceptable.

My guess is that he sought out opportunities to exercise his rights. No need to do it over and over. Know your rights and exercise them as needed. Don't go around making arse of yourself on purpose though.
