If there is no proof of alien life, and one believes there is alien life, what is that, but faith?

Good point. I'm not Athiest. Not particularly religious either--I personally find the notion that the "one true God" sent his "only son" just 2000 years ago (an infinitesimal spec in time) to earth (and infinitesimal speck of matter) to be a wee too convenient.

The flipside is there is too much order, perfection, balance and beauty in the universe to be completely random.

Militant Atheists must not know how stupid, pathetic, and desperate for attention they sound. "I'm so enlightened." Give me a damn break.

Check out "cringepics" on reddit sometime. About half of them are of Athiests who aren't half as smart as they think they are.

Evolution and religion can coexist without too much conflict--for whoever brought that whopper up.

I find it more shocking that people would go over there and try to reason with them than their actual beliefs.

I know. People take themselves super seriously if they are going to argue with people like that. I question myself for arguing with gumps, but it is nothing like this.

This is it exactly ... as you said I seriously question myself when I start arguing with people here on this site about stuff, Lord help me if I were to go over there and try to argue with them.

agreed... there is no doubt in my mind creatures evolve... it's common sense. There's also no doubt in my mind that there is a higher power. It's not impossible to believe one without the other.

Doesn't mean evolution isn't a direct contradiction to the Book of Genesis. Since that Adam and Eve thing, and that giant boat Noah built are like... a fairy tale if you believe in evolution.

Telling others your made up lies are correct and trying to make them live by that? Sounds like republicans against gay marriage and abortion

It AFFECTS not effects me because Christians are in charge and don't realize there is a separation of church and state

The fact that you're mentioning abortion and gay marriage in the same respect is embarrassing.

The funny thing is tens of millions would be in on this conspiracy. Every pilot, meteorologist, armed forces, ship captains, engineer, scientist, and probably another dozen professions I'm missing. Also there would have to be a super boost mode on airplanes in the Southern Hemisphere, since they'd have to travel 2 to 3 times longer with the same engines than in the north.
