80s sucked. re: disco, bad music, bad movies, goofy cars

Disco? Wha? You mean the 70s?

Music? Some of the best times in my life was spent watching Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick, Def Leppard, ZZ Top, and Van Halen (with Sammy Hagar) in concert. Got alot of tail and smoked the wacky. It was great - Class of 86 rocked.

Don't you dare forget about The Beastie Boys!

I'm fascinated that someone with functional hearing could endure the musical wasteland of utter crap produced the last decade and a half and objectively come to the conclusion that 80s music was worse. No musical era can top the 60s and early 70s but the music from the 80s and early 90s had so much quality among such a diverse spectrum of music. Literally every musical genre from rock, pop, rap, R&B, Hip Hop, and country was better in the 80s than now. Heck, even the charity songs were better. We are the World (1985) USA for Africa is 100 times better than the remake for Haiti.
