Never actually set foot inside the prom.
Junior year, me and my date were getting a ride to the dance. As we're pulling in, my friend freaks out because he saw a cop at the door, presumably looking for drunk kids. Everybody in the car was hammered and not 21 so we bailed and started the afterparty early. Good decision too, a bunch of the seniors got MIPs at the door. Did some of my best work that night with that girl later on.
Senior year, I should start by saying me and my date really didn't get along, but I got stuck with her. Anyway, me and my friends had been drinking all afternoon. Dates eventually met up with us at my friends house to pregame. When it was time to go, me and my friends were shite-faced and stoned and didn't really want to go. The girls got pissed and started making a scene. Eventually they just went without us. Don't remember much after that. Woke up on the couch at the house where the afterparty was.

I missed my HS prom, but I did recently attend a formal at Vanderbilt, and well, several students received this text message late that evening

Went solo my junior yr then got drunk and stoned with a couple buddies afterwards. Senior year went with a chic in my class. We made out but no sex of any kind 
I was really shy and unsure of myself until I got to college. Eventually I got over the fear of rejection and discovered that not having the fear was the key to rarely getting rejected. Have slayed some serious pussy since then.
