Should I date a woman with kids?

Without divulging too much personal info, here's my deal:

33, soon-to-be divorced, no kids (and not really interested in having any of my own any time soon)

Is the fact that a women has kids already a deal breaker?

I'm not looking for a girlfriend. Definitely not a wife. Can't decide if I'm okay with fricking Timmy's mom just for fun until I'm ready to settle down again.

Pros/cons from those who've been there?

I don't think I could, but I'm only 23.

Whatever you do, make sure you let the woman know what you want ahead of time.

How old are the kids, and is she looking for a boyfriend?

If they are young or the answer is yes, just take a trip to vegas and flash some cash. Will be cheaper and less stress in the long run.

Make sure she knows it's just for fun and don't meet her kids.

Different ages, depending on which woman we're talking about... but all of them are under 10.

If she wasn't looking for more than fricking and hanging out, I wouldn't have to ask the question would I?

Don't meet the kids.
Tell her you aren't looking to be someone's dad right now.

Well, it looks to me like you don't want kids and you don't want to settle down. So it's up to you to take on that responsibility. Unless she doesn't want to settle down either then it's fair game

Call me old-fashioned, or maybe I'm just too damn chivalrous, but I kinda want to frick a woman who actually wants to frick me back.

I realize I've narrowed my choices significantly by making that distinction.

If you're not ready to settle down, i wouldn't do it. It could get complicated fast bro.

I'm not a single mom, but here's my take on it. Be up front with her that you're not looking for anything serious.

Any woman with kids worth dating is going to put her kids before you, the new guy. The ones I've been around have usually not been looking for casual relationships either. They're worried about introducing too many different men into their kids' lives. So even if she says she's not looking for anything serious, be skeptical.

Furthermore, if you self admittedly don't want kids of your own, what complications could there be if this relationship progresses farther than you originally intended?

Just my $.02, and again, I'm not a single mom, but this is how I would think if I were.

Oh they want to. Who was it that said "you don't pay a whore to frick you, you pay her to leave".

But i grew up in an age of internet porn that has jaded my generation to theses things. God help the next generation with what they are able to access in middle school.

FWIW...I've found that most sane divorced women with young kids are pretty straight forward about what they are lookin' for in a relationship. They tend to insulate their children from new boyfriends for a decent amount of time, just to be sure he's "the right guy" & not wanting to parade a bunch of guys thru the house to just confuse & hurt the kids more than the divorce did...

If it's a fairly new relationship & she's trying to get her kids involved with you from the get go, she's just lookin' for a baby daddy & a paycheck.... Be careful... JMO...

Are they too old to take on some of your traits? If so, go for it. If not...
