Hanging out, woke up at 3 or so and cooked some redfish for lunch. Just drinking and listening to the water at this point.

Coast, in mississippi. We drove over late last night and put the boat in and went fishing early this morning. Took a nap and cooked some of what we caught for lunch once we woke up.

This morning we got 9 trout and 5 reds. Threw back a few bull reds that woulda been a bitch to clean and probably not very good to eat.

Do you go deep sea fishing a lot? I want to go down soon since red snapper are going out of season again in a week or two. Doesn't look like I'm going to get to make it though

I haven't been much, did some of the big boat snapper and grouper charters out to the reefs when i was young. And have been Tuna amd Snapper fishing a couple times in the last few years. Snapper limit this year is only 2 so it is barely worth it in gas and all that shite you gotta do.

I went in mid March and of course red snapper wasn't in season. That was my most successful red snapper trip ever but had to throw them all back

Haha, that's the way it goes. Last week I caught 18 catfish and that was it. I was even catching them on artificial bait which never happens to me.

The only catfish I have caught lately have been grossly overnourished. Things looked like they had been pigging out at the Golden Corral 7 nights a week for the past year. The smaller ones that you can fry whole are better for eating IMO.
