Yes, this probably belongs on the Poli Board, but I really don't care about what they have to say about this. I want to hear what you guys say about this.
1. Ronald Reagan
2. Bill Clinton
3. Dwight Eisenhower
4. John F. Kennedy
5. Harry Truman
6. Richard Nixon
7. George H. W. Bush
8. Jimmy Carter
9. Gerald Ford
10. Lyndon Johnson
There is a big drop off after Kennedy. We've elected some terrible Presidents in the last 70 years.

i don't know enough about the other presidents to offer an opinion so I threw the others in. Bush has grown on me in the last 5 years and Obama has lowered from expectations

I think the steps FDR took were completely necessary given the circumstances. Johnson did what FDR did, only to cater to help maybe 5% of people. Everything Johnson did was pretty much a disaster

The unemployment rate was 30%, something had to be done. Hoover tried the Tea Party approach, and it failed worse than any other Presidential policy in history. People need to actually look at a Presidency in its historical context, as opposed to looking back on certain policies with a 21st Century view. That's at least what I tried to do in my rankings

Probably put him #1 just for doing what presidents should do in foreign policy. Got both reds (Russia and China) to the tables and laid the groundwork for the end of hostility. That alone puts him in the top slot

8. Jimmy Carter
Navy guy who was probably the most decent president in the lot. Led by example and his work on peace in the middle east coupled with his Habitat for Humanity work showed us a man of the people not bought and paid for by corporate america. Adams was not the popular guy at the time but 200 years later history has showed him to be a great man by the test of time.
Odd that my 2 favorites were polar opposites but they were both solid leaders.
Kennedy gave us a focus on the space program and it is too bad we have been so slack about it since.

Carter is a good humanitarian. He was a horrible President.
