OTB - the official acronym of the Off-Topic Board

This is the official acronym of the board, not SECrOT.
Say it out loud - "o-tee-be." See how easy that is? Now say "es-e-see-are-o-tee." It's not even close.
Do people say "TDOT?" No, because the "TD" is implied. We don't need to put SECr in front of it as if people have trouble knowing what website they're on.
OTB is the actual acronym of the board. Plus, it just makes sense - it's the second created OT so OTB is appropriate (TD OT would be OT(A).)

Despite fear of getting shite on, I agree. The OT will always and forever be the OT. And Ham is right, nobody says the TDOT, so why put SECR in front of this board? It's the Off-Topic Board, let's just call it OTB. If necessary we can say OTB and OTL.

Using "SECrOT" instead of "OTB" is like using AOL dialup when you could be using high speed cable. People are going to look back on this board's first days and laugh at those who thought SECrOT was the way to go.
