Alright, just figured it got below 43 in some parts of South Carolina regularly so he'd not consider that cold, my bad.

I mean it does

But here in South Carolina we're quicker to shut down the state for 43 degree weather than we are a worldwide pandemic

It does now.
But Tillman is most likely an older dude
I think the younger generation would be used to it.
Lately it’s been fricking snowing in the Carolinas , i don’t remember it snowing that much growing up

And It was 60 here yesterday as well as will be about 63 here today.
The weather is all fricked up

He won't be going. The Buffalo has been closed, State Parks have been closed to overnight stays, and all stays at hotels/motels/short-term rentals have been restricted for out of state visitors.

my trip is early May and can be pushed back some.

Don't doubt me when I say I'll be deep in the Ozarks this year. tweet that.

i'm gonna canoe the Buffalo even if I had to do some jail time afterward.

You should hit up the Spring River on your way out of state.

does that have good whitewater?

I've been told the Mulberry has the most consistent whitewater. We are also doing the Buffalo for the cliff scenery.

have you been up to White Rock mountain? Wasn't sure if there is a better road to take if driving a car. Looks like the roads are dirt / gravel leading up to it.

YouTube search, Spring River Deadman’s Curve. Depending on your age, you may want to stay clear around big holidays. It get quite, well, redneck.

Spring River Southwest Paddler

I haven’t done the Mulberry but have friends who do so every year. They seem to enjoy it. Look into the Cassatot River in the Ouchita Mountains. It’s one of the better rivers in Arkansas as well.

Also, I think Bowles Gap Rd is the only way to White Rock. I could be wrong?
