I have gotten back to my house from fast food places and gone back because they got my order wrong. I returned food to McDonalds nearly 24 hours later once

I took a baby back to the abortion doctor after it didn't take.
I was like "he's yours now. There have to be consequences for your ineptitude."

A hair barrette. It was too heavy. I can't believe the store took it back, but it was kind of expensive, for a barrette.

Wasn't really random, but I helped a buddy who set up a booth at the Heatwave car show in Austin for his super badass artwork. He planned to rent a LCD TV to use as a huge monitor but the costs and insurance was ridiculous, so I fronted him $1200 and we went to Wally World and got the biggest TV they had, used it for the weekend, took it back got my cash.
Free riding isn't something I look favorably on, but in his case Mexicans that have show quality cars don't spend $ to get musuem quality art done of their show cars like rich old white guys will do. He didn't make dick, sometimes you gotta use the system to your advantage.

a garage door.
it wasn't that bad but seeing as how it was 10x8 or something i had to have them help me to the car with it. then i put up the rails behind the door frame. then i pulled out the bottom panel and said hmm. there's a large dent here in all but one of the panels
i took it back and said "hey can I switch this out? just the panels. I already installed the frame but don't really want to take them out." (yes that was tooly of me, but they sold me a dented door) she looked at me like "you dented this yourself didn't you?" and said fine. I then opened another box and took the appropriate panels had their help loading them again and left. when we were carrying just the panels back it felt like a walk of shame as everybody was staring at me like "why does he not have those in a box?"

Did that with a concrete drill and a harddrive cloner. Both were ridiculously priced

Back in HS me and a few friends worked at a local college bookstore during the summer. We were stocking shelves and doing general grunt work. They had us clean out this utility closet and told us to throw away anything we found in there. We came across about 15 new watches. They were in the little displays you see in the store and had barcodes and price tags on them. I remember they were all Disney watches and averaged about $15-$20 each. They said we could do whatever we wanted to with them so we took them to Walmart and told them we were returning them for our church youth group. We said they were bought for a fundraiser/raffle but not enough tickets were sold to give away all of the prizes so we were returning them. Most all of them scanned with the exception of 1 or 2 and they just did a manual override on those. Since we didn't have a receipt they put it all on a gift card. We took the card and went on a shopping spree, splitting it up 4 ways.

My family was on a road trip, and we stopped at McDonald's for some lunch and I already had like four of the car toy that they gave me in my Happy Meal. This wasn't because we went to McDonald's a lot, It was because I grew up in a family of six children. So I went up there and the employee was ever so nice as to give me a different one.
