Everyone thinks I'm drinking all the time.
I cut back on my drinking drastically. I haven't been drunk in quite a while, and barely drink at all. If I do, it's with friends.
I used to drink, heavily. I changed all that when most people get lost in the bottle. I'm not going back.

I'm young, but I know what it's like to live always in a dazed state of drunkenness. It's not a place anyone should ever put themselves in, really.
ETA: mine had nothing to do with any kind of other mental issue. It was just a matter of constantly going out and drinking, and then waking up hungover, and then drinking to kill the hangover. It gets old pretty damn quick.

Man, I feel like a damn country music song.
In the past 8 months I've lost a wife, a pet, a job, and now a brother.
I honestly don't know how I'm holding on to sanity.

Bless your heart! I understand some of how you feel - truly, I do. Since last May, I've lost my dad, 2 aunts and a pet. I lost a brother a few years ago - it's truly awful. That was worse for me than losing my dad, I think. Losing a sibling before parents is out of order. I'm also divorced, several years ago.
I can promise you that you will come out of it on the other side, and it will get better. It might not ever make sense, but it will get better. You have to have faith, and believe that good things are around the corner for you. There is a plan for you - it will unfold in its time. In the words of the great Marilyn Monroe, "Sometimes things have to fall apart so that better things can come together."
Hang in there. And don't be afraid to reach out and tell people how you feel.

I'm mad I had to call it a night before the band quit thanks to my throat infection.
