People that I hang out with all the time forget that I'm not 21. I guess since I always had a decent fake and never really said anything about it, a lot or people just assumed I was already over. I'm probably going to get a brother of mine to get a new one made sometime this week. It's been a while since I couldn't order a beer with my meal at a restaurant. That aspect is far more annoying to me than being able to get into the bar.

Next spring. I'll turn 21 on the Tuesday before finals start.

Good luck with that. Maybe you should take the semester off and practice blackjack, then head to Tunica on your birthday. This will allow you to enter the next semester with some change in your pocket.

Dang. I thought you were old like me. (Not old like the actual old people on here
)

I knew sammy was young, but I didn't realize he was that young.

One of his most underrated songs for me. But then, every time I hear it, it's my favorite.
So right now, it's my favorite Garth Brooks song. Which makes it my favorite song.

Still got a little less than two year left as an undergrad. And as far as the birthday thing goes, it's not a very big deal. The only thing that will be special is being able to use my real ID. If I got any drunker than I've been before, I'd either be dead or in the hospital.

Hell yeah, man. I know you'll enjoy the shite out of it.
And yeah, it's not a big deal. I never made a big deal about mine. But its still nice.

So today at work we were talking about making t-shirts for our undergrad research assistants. I suggested Dream Team as a possible theme. Firstly, nobody got it. Secondly, I realized the undergrads were not born yet. Last, most of the folks I was talking about this with were only 1-3 when the Dream Team had their moment. Humbling experience...

It feels weird to me that kids born in 1997 can now drive.
In my mind, I still register 1997-2003ish as "a few years ago".

Oddly that's one of my favorite country songs of all time. The violin is amazing and the lyrics are top shelf. Definitely Garth's best IMO.
And, fwiw, I didn't get the nickname "old man" from friends out of any sense of irony.

I was working on records to transfer to the high schools when our 8th graders move on and realized that a handful of kids were named Mystikal.
It then dawned on me those kids were born the same year this came out.

Damn, I haven't even thought about that.
Yeah those years are like yesterday to me. Does life just go on this way? Why didn't someone tell me earlier it would be this way?

The past couple of years have been a complete blur. I'm holding out hope that time will slow down again at some point in life. I also don't remember large portions of freshman and sophomore year, so that might be part of it.
