I got this prescribed this morning, the doc said the Paxil takes 3 weeks to kick in. (but I read bad stuff about SSRIs like how they make u gain weight and lose sex drive) so I probably want take that. The klonopin I'm suppose to take one .5 every day before bed but I took 2 today just to try it and I have to say I feel chill as fuk with zero anxiety.

inb4 you end up on intervention.
Edit: Don't abuse the Klonopin like you already seem to be doing. Benzo withdrawals are hell and can actually kill you.

Sounds like you got it covered.

SSRIs can have side effects. The trick is to find the right dose. I would go with your docs instructions for now and see how they work for you. Most people are on SSRIs for a finite period of time (maybe 6 or 12 months). During that time you can develop better skills for dealing with the stress and depressive moods you are experiencing. In the long term this is the best way to go. Not all meds affect everyone the same. If you are concerned about weight gain, pay attention to your diet and exercise regimen. Both of which will help you naturally manage your anxiety and depression better.
Good luck.

Not all SSRI's have negative side effects. It should be about 2 weeks before you'll notice a consistent mood change. Be warned, your symptoms will take a nosedive if you abruptly stop taking your SSRI. I think bupropion is better for this reason.
Also, benzos and alcohol don't mix.

Just make sure you change your diet and exercise so you don't gain a lot of weight.
Stick with it and you'll wake up at 300 lbs.

Be very careful with klonopin. It's very addictive. Ask your doctor for Wellbutrin instead of Paxil. Better for your sex drive.

CBT and exercise are a must. Treatment for depression is a 3-pronged approach. Don't just rely on meds. Hang in there.

Anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds MUST be taken as directed. Try what your doctor prescribed, and if it doesn't work, work with him or her to find the medication and dosage that works for you. Trust me, you DO NOT know better than your doctor! These medications can and will mess you up if you don't take them properly. I hope you'll be seeing a counselor/therapist too?

I won't pretend to be an expert on the subject, but I've watched people that abuse benzos end up having it bite them in the arse. Be careful and take them as prescribed. Otherwise you're playing with fire.

Klonopins are decent. Tell your doc to stop being a bitch and give you the Xanax though

How about you just take the pills like you're supposed to since your doctor went to med school and you didn't?

You kids are spoiled now'days.
Back in time, we relied on Milwaukees Best tallboys, vandalism and fist fighting to curb our depressive ills.
Look at me now... I'm completely normal.
